Companies that sell control systems with proprietary software running on Windows could distribute their software running on Wine/OpenBSD as an appliance without reengineering the application.

Windows updates/hardware abandonment etc. are real headaches while control systems ought to be secure.

GPL virality has many vendors scared of linux appliances, warranted or not.

One of the large solar powered planes wirh giant wings would suffice. Speed isn't valuable, just range and payload. Payload can be multiplied with increased numbers of aircraft.

With polarized lenses and sufficient ML cameras it should be quite precise.

Some work would need to be done to work out dispersants and adhesives.

It wouldn't be conceptually different than the fish breeding and stocking operations already common in most states, just more complicated.

Sure enough Youtube and the like really exploded around that time.

I'm pretty sure in '98 I didn't understand the sheer variety of content that would emerge and thought he meant the big networks might move their shows to the Internet. I remember investigating the mbone around then as unicasting didn't make sense to me. In some ways it still doesn't.

Apparently secondary markets, insurance reinvestments, private credit, pension funds - they're so heavy in AI stocks to just beat inflation that when Sam said tokens aren't selling fast enough with the decreasing cost of generating them to turn a profit they started bracing for an Everything Crash.

Like insurance companies failing, CRE going into foreclosure, pension funds defaulting, bond-issuing companies liquidating equity to meet obligations, etc.

Treasury would have to hyperinflate to bail them all out, transferring massive wealth from the People to the Corporations, yet again.

That's gonna get spicy and probably stabby.

But also that illustrates why prior Congresses held the power to be essential.

I've stopped buying Thread devices for now even though it will eventually own the market.

The one thing I won't buy is Thread over Wifi devices, i want home stuff on completely different networks.
