They recommended immediate action on the part of nonprofits. GoFundMe walked this back and apologized and a statement from the National Council of Nonprofits while noting "Nonprofits depend on transparency, trust, and the ability to control their own fundraising. GoFundMe’s actions were a breach of that trust." I'll add that this is the sort of thing we'd expect from typosquatting scammers, not from a professional fundraising organization; I have no idea what they possibly could have been thinking when they decided to do this.
