"Bitcoin folks": Not represented by Luke Dashjr, any more than "Internet folks" are represented by Mark Andreesen, etc.
"Get the government taxation out of my wallet!!": No one who really understands how Bitcoin works would advocate it for tax evasion. It's not anonymous... Unless you're doing some very sophisticated series of collaborative transactions (A.K.A. coinjoins) - using eg. Joinmarket or Samourai wallet - starting with coins that you (a) mined or (b) acquired without KYC on eg. RoboSats or Bisq - which are illiquid and hard to buy large amounts from - then sold it for cash on the street and hid the cash somewhere, then spent it, slowly without raising suspicion ... ... you're not going to "launder" very much money (ie avoid taxes) using bitcoin, you're better off using good old Fiat, ideally USD cash, like the drug dealers do (google "HSBC's Money Laundering Scandal" / find Investopedia article)
This guy's just trying to "bleed the beast"-- standard 4D-chess thinking of a smart but muddled-on-this-field-of-expertise Slashdot user.
1. Demand [...]
2. Refuse to fund [...]
3. Show that the government is [...]
1-3. All very much "fiat thinking"... you give Luke Dashjr far too much credit. He's just a dude. He can code well, but he can't demand anything from, nor is he responsible for funding, nor can he show anything of note about, THE GUHVERNMUNT he's just a dude who lost a lot of money out of his arrogant sloppiness and now he's desperate (or it's a all a psyop) PEACE!!
