Manufacturing has been in a race to the bottom for 50+ years. There isn't much exploitable cheap labor left. Once the bottom is reached, it will become as cheap to build in the US as China.

I think you will find that there no ads while test driving. Jeep isn't that stupid. The ads are enabled months after purchase. Samsung did the same thing. The ads start months after purchase so you are unable to return it.

I find it funny how everyone laudes the old Dec Alpha cpu and then derides the Pentium 4. They used the same design philosophy (speed runner). They even had many of the same engineers. The Pentium 4 failure was the unexpected power wall that silicon hit at 3ghz.

It takes more resources to raise a child than to care for an elderly person. If those people were raising kids, there would be less resources for the elderly. When the elderly die, the problem is solved. When more kids grow up you need even more resources for them.

Math and physics tests have far more memorization than professors admit to. They will claim you can derive any equations you need from first principles so you don't have to memorize but then the tests are always do long that if you didn't memorize everything, it was impossible to complete the test in time. On almost all tests, the only way to get a A was to have memorized not only the equations but the "algorithm" you follow to solve a particular problem that you can identify because you've already seen something similar before. Math and Physics tests leave no time for reasoning.

"worked" is a stretch. 300 bps is only 30 characters per second (start/stop bit). I had to suffer for a few months on a 300 baud and I could read faster than the bbs fidonet could scroll. A full screen refresh took 1minute! ( 80x25 terminal = 2000 characters )
