Comment More expensive for all (Score 3, Interesting) 100

The small displacement turbocharged engines make better fuel economy numbers butt end up being scrapped sooner due to expensive maintenance after 100k miles. Great for auto manufacturers who would rather see them off the road so new vehicles will be bought. This causes problems for those who can't afford new and are forced into high mileage vehicles. Over time the emissions equipment runs out and is a major burden as this is becoming increasingly complicated. Add this to the unreliable small displacement forced induction preference and I doubt we are helping the marginally poor in any capacity. But hey if you're the first owner that doesn't have to worry about long term reliability or an auto manufacturer this is a great push. Fuel economy is fine but should we really push reliable transportation further out of reach of many working poor?

Comment 5G wacko now equals white supremacist? (Score 1, Insightful) 326

The 5G people are a whole different thing than white supremacists. Most of the 5G haters I've seen are anti vax granola MFers definitely not skinheads. Sounds like a piece combining the two to shame and discourage the cell tower attacking behavior. Don't get me wrong, it's dumb AF to think 5G is kind control but calling them racists just fuels their frustration and disenfranchisement. Mabie that's the point of the article? Everything that we want to stop just be racist.

Comment Advertising Tracking (Score 0) 273

The lie that your advertising data will be anonymous has always been a lie if you have access to enough databases. Most of the time no one cares enough to drill down but here it is.... Demonstrable proof every move is plotted and big brother is watching. I speculate that were less than ten years from our own credit sesame scoring and all these datasets will be used retroactively.
