And yet the way he went about doing it is idiotic. Canada passed laws allowing cashiers to round to the nearest 5 cents. Trump didn't do that, instead he just stopped production, meaning you will have customers screaming at cashiers for their money and claiming theyre being robbed. (Any cashier will tell you they meet these people.) And he did it without Congress, meaning it can be reversed by the next president.

Putting data standards aside, USB-C is pretty good at charging. I'm not familiar with these edge cases the author describes where charging doesn't always work with thunderbolt cables (which are a minority of cables sold).

This is not really a "battle of the plugs" like the author claims. We all use USB-C for charging and data and it's generally reverse compatible.

Google pays a lot of money to be set as the default search engine. That's the limit. Apple doesn't give them access to location data without a popup authorization screen.

Personally I switched my search to DuckDuckGo in settings. But should Apple make that the default for everyone? The reality is google does have better quality results. Should they sacrifice quality for privacy, or give people the choice?

Please don't make me defend Obama. The Nobel Committee laid out the reasons that they voted to give Obama the award. In 2009, Obama began drawing down troops from Iraq, and also gave a well-regarded speech in Cairo to the Muslim world, promising a reset after the Iraq war and mutual respect. He also not only gave a speech at the UN calling for a world completely free of nuclear weapons but he started organizing UN security council meetings to try and get unanimous agreement to reduce the world nuclear weapon stockpiles. These reasons were why the Nobel committee said he deserved it; citing their original founding criteria to determine a person or entity who promoted peace and reduced armies.

Of course he later increased troops in Afghanistan and stepped up drone attacks.
