Divide and Conquer - Primary Method of Governmental Control in the USA

Race & Identity Politics in the U.S.
Play: Constantly elevate racial, gender, or cultural grievances as primary.
Effect: Working-class people of all backgrounds stop uniting around shared material concerns (wages, housing, healthcare, corruption) because they’re too busy fighting each other over identity labels.
Who benefits: Political parties and corporations who never have to address systemic wealth concentration. As long as people are screaming at each other about pronouns or statues, they’re not demanding tax reform or campaign finance changes.

Two-Party System Entrenchment
Play: Lock discourse into “Red vs. Blue” so tightly that no one considers alternatives.
Effect: Even when both parties support the same war, the same bailouts, or the same surveillance laws, the population still sees them as polar opposites.
Who benefits: The political establishment—because dissent gets absorbed into the “lesser of two evils” trap instead of threatening the system itself.

Fortunately for us, Democrats are far too educated and intellectual to fall for any of it.

This! When Republicans tried to keep Trump off of the ballot in 2024, it was the most anti-Democratic thing we had yet to see. And how Republicans replaced the their Colorado voters choice of candidate with the choice of a bunch of wealthy elites. Or how Republicans held a bunch of unarmed protestors in prison calling them insurrectionists and impeached the Democratic president for saying fight which their own candidate said over 200 times, complete with fucking Soviet-style show trials. Or how Trump pardoned his family and staff for blanket crimes going back 10 years while people sit in prison for the exact same offenses. Yeah, real Democratic assholes!

Democrats do not do that shit! They are NOT trying to dismantle democracy.

Now look at us.

I personally know white people who have lost their jobs. WHITE PEOPLE!

No longer are all affluent white people employed. No, now he's playing to his blue collar base, unlike Biden who played to us! The educated and affluent. Trump and his white trash followers are going to ruin everything. EVERYTHING. Just when we thought we'd rid this nation of the yucky blue collar industries, HE wants to bring them back. HE is trying to bring non-white jobs back. Factory jobs. Immigrant jobs. Minority jobs. Do YOU want to work a minority job, shoulder to shoulder with actual minorities?

Do we really need to endure three more years of this? Do we have to watch HIM cater to the deplorables over and over again. We need to get our people back. The people who look like us, talk like us, smell like us .... not someone who thinks about the others.

Democrats fought a war once to preserve slavery, we birthed the KKK, we promoted eugenics, we ran the Jim Crow south, we formed the majority of opposition to the Civil Rights Act, hell we had an ex-KKK member in congress until 2010. It remains interesting that Democratic positions in 2025 are not that different than they were in 1860.

Hell, you guys did such a good job when you decimated the manufacturing industry, that's why most US inner-cities are, frankly, the best parts of US cities. The entire article tries to shame you for looking up the article in the first place, and provides zero information about what the emails contain.

This, we are told, is encyclopedic.

Seriously, read it yourself, I doubt you will believe it. I do not understand how it has persisted that way for years. The true believers really do see the world differently. They read that page and think, ah, perfect, this will convince them, nobody will find the information elsewhere, they will just no longer be interested. Especially if some random woman will not sleep with them.

Then they will criticize them for reading elsewhere, saying the site is misinformation. It is such a disconnect from reality,

What they cannot accept, is that the crisis of credibility is not due to some right wing this or that. It is due to them, and their behavior that seeks solely to shame and foster in-group cohesion. There is no evidence that they care one bit about the issue.

Self-described progressives take more flights and fly more miles every year than self-described conservatives.
