Let Altman face the consequences for the damage done by his AI. Seems like an acceptable trade-off.

Are you really interested in the many things Charlie Kirk had to say about gun violence? If you were, you could spend time looking up his extensive commentary rather than posting speculatively here.
Putting AI development under the oversight of the NSA and CIA seems like a bad idea. Which is what would happen were we to "nationalize it".
Our elected officials know nothing about AI and would be forced to resort to the few government agencies that might have understanding.
Also don't most of the rodent->human infections result in bubonic plague? The malady mentioned in the summary was said to be pneumonic plague, which is the same bacteria but much much worse.
Cars absolutely are a part of emergency kit. When you need to pack up and leave home to get to a shelter or rally point, your car is the first option. It might not be the BEST option (due to all the other people in their cars doing the same thing at the same time) but that's a different issue.
Expecting that everyone have a hand-cranked anything on hand is ludicrous. Everyone in the US has access to a car (usually), which is why putting AM radios in them assures that people will actually have radio access in time of need.
Clear Channel (and Sinclair) snapped up struggling stations nobody else wanted. Maybe take a hard look at the reason why people sold out?
Nobody's gaining marketshare from automobiles continuing to have AM radios in them. Even conservative talkers are going the hybrid podcast route. Savage and Shapiro basically dumped their AM broadcasts.

Check out 1929-1940 in particular. Notice how the population surplus was higher then than it is now? And no economic conditions aren't worse today than they were during the Great Depression so fuck off with that rhetoric.
That doesn't seem like an improvement.
A serious country? Now I know you ain't serious.

I see your joke but actually moving waste to port via truck or train is a thorny issue. Nobody wants it moved on their roads or across their rails.
It's probably military/DoE waste from the 50s or 60s, or however long ago they were still able to ship large quantities of the stuff without getting NIMBYd.
Did Paramount's threat to leave Cali force this agreement to the table?
Paramount probably won't move as a condition of the settlement.
Trump and friends probably wanted the Netflix buyout of WB to happen instead.
Law not lae.
Retirement means that when someone says "Have a nice day", you actually have a shot at it.
