Apparently this is also expressed as the number of full writes you can do per day within the warranty period; it's less than one on a consumer drive.

An SSD has a max lifetime write volume ... search for TBW ... you could store all writes, not just daily copies, in 1000Tb.

Mostly no. There are a relatively small number of simple symbols that you could argue are pictures, such as "person", "fire", "field", "water". But almost all symbols are compounds: you scale/squash multiple simpler symbols then combine to form a new one.

Sometimes the compound pieces contribute just the pronunciation with nothing about meaning. So for example "mother" is "woman" + "horse" because "horse" has the desired pronunciation "ma", not for the meaning or to make a picture.

It's Google's internal IDE and has been for a while.

I've been a fan of Dart for over a decade, I haven't used Flutter much but if I was building an app it's obviously where I would start :)

If you're going to spend 30000 hours typing then surely it's worth some investment: to speed it up a bit, make fewer mkstakes, be more comfortable, avoid RSI.

Touch typing is only one thing you could do. If you will type a lot then I recommend trying different mechanical kryboards and layouts until you find what works best for you.

I use a keyboardio 100 with an Apple Magic Trackpad between the two halves instead of a mouse. While coding, the transition to the trackpad is quicker and easier on the wrist than a mouse would be.

In terms of layout, I think my top two features are home row mods and chording for symbols and arrows. I don't think it really adds speed but for comfort and RSI prevention I think minimizing finger reaches and wrist moves is important.

No lighting beats bad lighting ... but have you tried good lighting? What you want is that the light level behind your screen matches the light level of the screen.

I light my home office with three bright LED lamps of the type used by streamers, directly behind my screen. Works well for me. And it's perfect for video calls :)
