CS-Cart Multi-Vendor Reviews

Summary: In 2020, as part of the decision-making process for an enterprise marketplace solution, we analyzed many solutions and followed up on analyzes from leading business consultants (e.g. Gartner). We then assessed the enterprise solutions based on previously defined criteria. In the end, the multi-vendor solution from Cs-Cart was the best solution for us. the large range of functions and the scalability enables the use of multi-vendor by a small company up to an enterprise multi-vendor marketplace operator.

Positive: We now have a very extensive, scalable multi-vendor solution with which we can quickly roll out a wide variety of websites for different industries - e.g. digital goods, electronics, home & garden, health, furniture...

Multi-Vendor has a wide range of backend and frontend functionality and also offers excellent admin functions, vendor functions, ... up to mobile app functions.

Negative: The use of enterprise marketplace solutions in different countries also requires country-specific adaptation options and country-specific standard features in line with legal guidelines and specifications. Some more features would be desired here, but we believe that it is only a matter of time before these are also offered as a standard feature. In principle, however, all solutions on the market have to master the same challenges here.

Summary: I have started using this solution for building my marketplace. It has got really good add ons which I can use straight away. There is no limit to the number of products I can upload and it is very customisable.

The solution has helped me to get to market much quicker than building from scratch. The support is good, but it can be quicker. Also, would be better if they had a direct telephone number to speak with someone.

My users have provided me with some decent feedback which gives me confidence in the product.

Positive: I like how many features it has got which are out of the box and easy to use. The solution has great add ons and there are Quixote a few developers you can contact.

Negative: I wish the backend was a bit modern. The customer service could be quicker, 48 hours wait can sometimes be too late to solve urgent queries.

Summary: CS Cart has developed a great product that I’m glad I purchased. It looks like they make frequent improvements (they regularly post update videos to YouTube), so I’m looking forward to what they do next and would happily recommend them to any business owner.

Positive: Great for business owners looking to get up and running without a developer. We were able to build the marketplace with no knowledge of php and just a basic understanding of websites and html.

Documentation is very helpful. The way the User Guide is arranged and searchable makes it a great resource if you just have a quick question or want to use it as a step-by-step setup guide.

Reliable support. Responses were fast, straightforward and everyone on the team is extremely knowledgeable.

Easy to edit design. Really impressed with Layouts and how you can add, remove, and drag and drop page elements. They’ve already pre-built several graphic, functional, and text elements you can use as is, or adjust to your liking.

Easy to customize, with lots of freedom on what you can customize. You can adjust typical look and feel items like font colors, but also text snippets, automated emails to customers, and on and on.

Negative: I think the one area where CS Cart could improve is in striking a balance between promoting vendor brands and allowing the marketplace owner to deliver a consistent design.

Would love to see more editability on the Vendor profile page where all vendors can input standard things like their company bio, return policy, and maybe a banner. That way the marketplace owner can keep the site look they want and the Vendor gets to better promote their business.

CS Cart has options for vendor customization, but they seem to offer either too much or too little editability. Some examples:

Vendors are allowed to modify the theme, but the trade-off is people will inevitably build pages that clash with the overall look and feel of your website.

Getting to the Vendor Product page is easy, but Vendor Profiles are hard to get to. It would be good if customers could access each Vendor profile more easily, especially when the page offers great features like vendor reviews.

Vendors are allowed to upload logos which is fantastic, but unless you tell the Vendor to choose a certain image size, the invoices Customers see may be out of alignment.

Vendors are allowed to add a Blog and Pages, but building and customizing these pages seems a bit hard to navigate for sellers without any design experience.

Pages created by Vendors are not on a subpage. So, if a vendor creates a page called "aboutme" it would appear at yoursite.com/aboutme which may be confusing to buyers. It would be better if it would appear at yoursite.com/sellername/aboutme so it's clear it's a Vendor page and not one created by you as the marketplace owner.

Summary: Overall I would definitely recommend CS Cart. I cannot wait to get my marketplace up and going and purchasing this software has made it so much easier.

Positive: We are in the process of building our site and the ease of use is the most amazing aspect. It is practically out of the box. The add ons are easy to install and the accessibility of great. I also love how easy it is for the vendors to set up their store and the reporting that they get as well as us.

Negative: So far the only thing that could be easier is more instruction on how to deal with economic nexus in the US.

Summary: From day 1 we have been very pleased with the marketplace solution, it satisfied all our business needs. It really worth the money.

Positive: Most complete solution in the market, you have everything you need to setup your marketplace easily. You can customize it according to your business needs. You can customize your front end, add plugins, templates. If you are looking for a all in one solution and a fair price, this is the best solution you can find in the market. It has it all.

Negative: The one on one support can improve, they have a lot of tutorials and documentation but they can go the extra mile to be a perfect solution.

Summary: Best marketplace software I have found. Easy to install, easy to customize, and much cheaper than developing something from scratch.

Positive: Many features.
Lots of third party plugin.
Easy to install on AWS.
Great support.
Website themes lets you get started quickly.

Negative: Vendor panel needs to be simplified to make this easier for Vendors.

Summary: Amazing! The explanation on CS-Cart website is very easy to understand if you have troubles. The add-ons give you a lot of opportunities to change things.

Positive: It is very easy to use, very simple and it is totally worth to buy it! If you planned to open a multi vendor store for the first time, this is the software you need.

Negative: Custom coding is sometimes hard to do. But with a little help it becomes easy!

Summary: Excellent software, the best of what is now on the market. Even if you write everything yourself from scratch, it is not a fact that such functionality can be made. And if you do, it will come out much more expensive.

Summary: Awesome experience overall in terms of out of box, ease of use and flexibility of modifications in existing infrastructure.

Positive: - Flexible shipping options

- Integrates with Stripe and other payment processors
- One time cost
- Supported by a good team
- You're not dependent on a cluster of unsupported add-ons

Negative: - The default appearance is not my favorite style but this can easily be customized.
- Support becomes a user pays service.

Summary: I you are an entrepreneur looking to easily build an online E-commerce platform and not worry about its working every moment, CS Cart is probably the easiest way to do that. I has every feature you'll need and can definitely give you a huge boost.

Positive: - One time fee model. You buy it once, it's yours for life.
- The Multi-Vendor environment opens up so many possibilities for me as I can allow other vendors on my site.
- Highly customizable and a great forum.

Negative: - No major cons except that the support team can sometimes take a while to attend to the issues.

Summary: I have an experience with choosing the most powerful software for goods marketplace from 5-6 systems already available to buy - this one is the best option. Using this software about 1 year and think that it's really worth its money.

Positive: - Lot of stuff from the box to start multivendor project.
- Mobile app and site version.
- Different languages support.
- Good support.
- Huge amount of add-ons.

Negative: - Need some changes with delivery rates - every vendor have to set all exists rates for each country, you cant copy them etc.
- Two different versions for Russia market - if you need project for worldwide market you have to buy one version, that pay for Russian payment systems, delivery & etc.

Summary: For the period of the coronavirus pandemic CS-Cart Russia provided an opportunity for NGOs to launch a free marketplace. For the nonprofit sector, this support is significant since the crisis period highlighted the importance of finding new forms of cooperation and development. We (Center for Sociocultural Development NGO «Kaykino Creative Projects») decided to create a common platform, where all the local NGOs, social entrepreneurs and small businesses will be hosted. For locals this platform is a quick and convenient source of to-date information, as for non-profit initiatives, it is an additional support for their activities.

Positive: First of all, it's useful to note that the control panel is simple and intuitive to use. Our specialists were able to quickly master the principles of its work thanks to step-by-step video tutorials and comprehensive documentation. Also, we can always count on professional technical support, regular improvements and updates.

Negative: Maybe, we will find out something later, after more using.

Summary: Excellent multi-vendor software for online stores. Stable and most reliable product from my experience of almost one year. If you do not believe me just search BIGBAG.PK on Google and checkout for yourself the final product which is outcome of the CS-Cart Multivendor Software.

Positive: Easy to set-up and with a lot of interesting features. The vendor panel and the upload of products via CSV files improved a lot the productivity of our marketplace. The plug-in library was also very important for us.

Negative: The software requires further improvements in order to fully meet the expectations of the b2b market:
- application of tax rules in multi-country environment;
- missing feature for membership fee automatization;
- price is a bit high.

Summary: An excellent platform that gives vendors flexibility to control their pricing and shipping. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get going fast with a solution that works.

Summary: I love CS Cart. As an out of the box package it does many things, very well. A few areas are weaker than would be ideal but there will never be a solution to fit everybody's needs perfectly. CS Cart is pretty close to it though. Very good support team, if you buy credits, they help.

It would be nice to see the global delivery aspect of the software improved to enable localisation for vendors. But CS CART is infinitely customisable so you can pretty much turn it in to anything you want, for a price of course.

Positive: I love using CS Cart. Having owned stores run on Magento v1.x and V2 and Opencart and OS Commerce and Xcart, I feel qualified to to answer what makes a good ecommerce platform. I believe CS Cart is the best out there at an affordable price point.
Some strong points are:
- Great support service, they actually reply fast , although you have to pay for support after some time.
- Infinitely customisable
- Well thought out (mostly)
- Good base of extensions you can buy for the product
- Very scaleable
- Very nice code base. Makes Magento look a total mess.
- Excellent documentation
- Great tutorial videos on YouTube

Negative: License recurring fee to get updates each year.
Some things not well thought out for example global deliveries needs reworking to use more logistics.
Developers can be expensive.
Not a very big developer pool like WooCommerce or Magento.
Vendor commission system is lacking in detail. But we are coding our own module for this.
