I know it says I am the host. Please dont consider me the host. When I searched the party list, I was hoping the Sydney party was going to be at the James Squire Brewhouse. Alas, there was no party in Sydney so I added one at the James Squire Brewhouse.
I have added the party to my calendar. This is by no means an indicator I will make an appearance. I hope I show up. If no one else is there, I wont mind. I will have a few till the last train home.

Donscarletti and i were the only ones to turn up, as far as i can tell. I took a couple of photos to prove we were there, but really 2 people ain't much of a party.

  Ok so I turned up at 7pm I asked Everyone in the entire place were they "Slashdot" no and "what..." were all I got (I asked the bartenders and the waiters (black haird english dude) and waitress (short hair / plumply). I even went to the strike bowling next door (Just in case) Way to make yourself known. still had an ok night but feel completely ripped and I missed out on my /. shirt. Was there WHERE WERE YOU sorry once again feel ripped.

    There were only three of us that I was with. We had a laptop on our table with a dark green /. written in gimp covering the whole screen on a white background sitting on our table, facing the bulk of the outdoor courtyard. We called it our Geekon. What I'm really pissed off about is fr00dy was apparently on a bar crawl anyway tonight celebrating his birthday or something, but didn't see fit to drop into JSB.
    Anyway, I don't know about merchandise, I'm not sure if anyone was actually organising it at all.

        Well, sorry you missed us. I don't know how that happened. We were sitting in the beer garden out front with a laptop bearing the slashdot logo facing the entrance from about 6:45, and we still had it on later when we moved to the pool tables inside. Donscarletti suggested that my work-attire together with his grundge-geek appearance must've averaged out at "normal" and we were overlooked. No one came and asked us who we were, though.

      Buggar... I was there too with another mate, but had no idea what to look for... I think we were sitting a table or two away from you guys - I saw some people looking at a laptop, but couldn't see the screen from where I was :-(
