Since nobody's yet organized a Memphis meeting, I'll take it on. If you are willing and able to be present and accounted for at Huey's Cordova, Germantown @ Dexter, on Saturday October 20th, 8PM (or earlier) to 10PM (or later), please post here. The beer will be flowing and of course the Huey burgers will be on the grill. All we need is a bunch of people, and it would help to know whether or not I should call and warn them ahead of time.

  I'm still planning to be at Huey's Cordova a week from today - we have a whopping seven folks committed to show up, which is still pretty fucking cool. It would have been nice if Slashdot had provided some sort of mechanism by which we could all contact each other. I recall the days of "meetup.com" when Slashdot tried to make inroads there and it just didn't work, so I hope this thing turns out a bit better.

The only thing worse than an anniversary party for a website frequented by a group of anonymous geeks is an an anniversary party for a website frequented by a group of anonymous geeks where only one geek shows up.
I hope you all get herpes, but that is probably wishful thinking, as it is doubtful any of you get laid with any regularity.
