Journal Journal: No more slashdot for me
- News isn't really very interesting.
- Editors who think they are God's gift to the Internet.
- Editors can't spell.
- Dupes.
- $rtbl
- For some reason I can't read all comments, at the bottom there's links to 5 or 6 pages, but they just have the same thread on them (I read at -1, nested)
- Half the time I need to reload the page, it gets corrupted (a testament to CmdrFucko's 3l337 web skills). You know, HTML & PERL aren't exactly rocket science. Maybe it's mozilla, probably not.
- w3c block
- Linux fanboys
- MS & fanboys
- GNAA
- michael
There's many more reasons, I just can't seem to remember them at this time.
I'd like to apologise to G-funk for this flame. What can I say, I was drunk. I do regret pushing the button.
Anyway, I've realised that slashdot is only as powerful as long as it abuses it's readership. That's why it no longer bothers me. I've removed the bookmarks, and I read the other site when I need to space out. There's thousands of other sites, and they're a thousand times better & relevant. Morbid curiosity will probably keep me coming back to this journal, but I have no inclination to visit the rest.
Finally, I'm proud of being plagiarised by Michael's a Jerk!. He stole a couple of my anonymous trolls. Truly a slashdot icon.
Ciao.
