Journal The Fun Guy's Journal: 192.9 Now, on to more entertaining matters

If it's November, that means 1) NaNoWriMo, 2) deer season, and 3) Thanksgiving. I never have time to make a production out of all three, and usually not more than one.

Unlike in years past, the two I'll be celebrating this year are #2 and #3. Over opening weekend, I'll be in Lapeer, Michigan, hunting at a friend's place. Then, we'll be doing the semi-annual migration back to Missouri for Thanksgiving.

With luck, I'll be able to put some old skills to use this year. My favorite part of this document is the line, "Once you shoot a deer you may become very excited. You may forget important laws about the tagging of deer. Remember that handling a sharp knife requires attention and patience."

Buck fever is pretty heady stuff.
