I literally open Slashdot as the first thing I see each morning, and I check it 9 or 10 times per day to see if there is anything new. If I'm automatically logging in every day and refreshing the site almost hourly (which the Slashdot servers should very well be aware of), why am I being offered a 'Daily Newsletter' every time I come to the page these days?

I have the ad-block turned off to support the site via ad-views, I don't need a daily digest of things I have already seen. Maybe they should keep the popup for people that don't have an account that already comes to the page multiple times per day.
