For the first time, i think, i have been conflicted on how to moderate a post.

Usually as I am reading through the comments and its my turn to say yea or nay, i get a gut feeling on how I feel about a post. This time was harder, as the comment was wrong in every conceivable respect. And the problem wasn't merely being factually wrong, but it was aggressive ignorance bordering on stupidity.

How do you flag this? There is no out and out 'wrong' moderation. This leaves 3 options: overrated, flamebait, troll. In a case like this you can make an argument for any one, or all 3.

The other day I lambasted some fool for not only advocating giving drugs to children to keep them calm, but making up information along the way about said medication.

What was the result? The clown gets modded up as 'informative', and im a troll.

What can we learn from this? Possibly that people who read /. dont bother to read the boxes that their cold medication comes in. Or perhaps they are too busy taking to much of it. Its kinda frightening.
