Journal Journal: The count down

9 days until I am in Amsterdam, and not worrying about mundane stuff at work. 9 days count 'em 9 days.

Hopefully pics of the trip in progress will be posted to http://infaux.net. It's a slashdot-like website for Code and I. We have no other users than us signed on. Yay.

Journal Journal: Wow

I'm watching the BBS documentary I bittorrented. I threw in a few google searches, and hit a Minnesota BBS history write-up on textfiles.com.

I knew it looked odd. oh yeah, because I WROTE IT. Weird. I never thought I would be given digital immortality on textfiles.com.

Journal Journal: Want to see something depressing?

Want to buy some old Atari computer goods? Look no further. The guy who runs this site posts rather frequently to the rec.games.video.classic newsgroup(and cross-posts). Probably the only web page that's readable on an atari 8-bit computer(for his customers). This web site is like a trip back through time. And even if I was in 40 column mode, it is still hard to read.

Then I waltzed over to the local Atari 8-bit computer user group. Ever want to see something decay and deteriorate? That's the place to go.

As you know, this past December's SPACE Christmas party was something of a bust. Well, January's planned bounce-back was an even bigger bust. Greg's article in this issue describes that evening at SPACE.

and here's pictures from the 2004 birthday party. If it's going to be that kind of party, I'm sticking my dick in the mashed potatoes.

Ouch. Sometimes you have to got to let things go. And this is from someone who lives life as if it still were 1982.

Journal Journal: Things I like

Well, from wanting to stay away from the livejournal bs, I'll make this short and sweet.

I like Pepperoni. A snack for me is that plastic vacuum bag of 2 rows of pepperoni slices. Greasy, probably not good for you, but good. Better than in a sausage-like form where you have to cut it yourself. Pre-sliced is convenience.

I also like prosciuto(sp?). It looks like bacon, but is so much more flavorful. It is also sliced very thin, and a bit pricey. Still, one can eat it by itself and get snack satisfaction.

What I never liked was putting entire pieces of pepper(peppercorn?) in salami. Why? It's too much of a spice concentration in an otherwise flawless gestalt of ingredients that make for italian meats.

Journal Journal: Livejournal..still suckin' 3

I think this lj user account deserves an award for "longest fucking user info" and "most i-love-my-boyfriend-ness" in the whole lj microverse ever.

+20 points for being friends-only

I mean 95% of LJ is posting about how much girls love their boyfriends, but her userinfo just goes way too far into the stratosphere. Such vanity.

Journal Journal: USB bonanza

Bought the following:

USB cable for cell phone. Who knows what fun could be had?

USB bluetooth thingy. WHo knows what fun could be had? Even has a small antenna.

USB 2 hub - to power all this fun stuff. $20 on sale.

Too bad the firewire card I bought is a full-length PCI connector. $30 down the drain. Was hoping I culd use it for faster ipod sync, but that's okay.

Television

Journal Journal: The Apprentice 3

Notice how the booksmarts team decided to gang up on Danny, the guitar-playing poleyster freak. Yet, Trump saw this and fired the right person who screwed things up.

I should turn this into my own personal Slashdot, this would be so mucn fun!
