Journal Journal: Car Loan Approved

Well, our loan has been approved. We pick the car up at 3:00pm tomorrow. The mill stone of debt is now fixed around our necks. *sigh*

No, really we are happy. Thank the Lord. I know that He meets our every need, even though debt stinks big time.

Journal Journal: Blues beat Crusaders in a nail biter

The Auckland Blues won a thriller against the Canterbury Crusaders on Saturday night by 21-17. In my oppinion the Canterbury kicking game was the difference with two tries going unconverted.

Canterbury came back in the dying minutes, but were not able to get the ball up the other end in their final oppurtunity. I thought Brad had a good game though.
It's funny. Laugh.

Journal Journal: Crusader storm into Grand Final

Well my old pal Brad Thorn and the Canterbury Crusaders are into the Super 12 grand final against the formidable Aukland Blues. They will be playing Saturday night.

Go Son!

Journal Journal: Sheldon and Amanda Wed

On Saturday my good friends Sheldon and Amanda got married. They wed at the Brisbane Boy's College chappel. The service was quite short (good) but there were one or two awkward moments (no one knew the tune to the first hymn). Both Sheldon and Amanda broke into tears when giving their vowels. Something I had never seen in Sheldon and wasn't quite expecting. I found myself holding my breath urging them on in my mind. Tim Vaughan rocked up late as he went to the wrong wedding. (There was a another service across the road).

The reception was great. The food was excellent. Joanna and I spent the evening mostly talking to Lynsey Reece. She had one of these amazing Panasonic camera phones. Pretty cool. Anyway it was a great day.

Journal Journal: Charity Shield round-up

Due to Sheldon and Amanda's wedding on Saturday I could only make it to the first game. This week I played for Mitchie 2 and we lost 3-1 against a fairly organized Redbacks team. Mitchie 1 I am told went on to win their division in a penalty shoot-out. Well done guys!

Journal Journal: Job interview

Yesterday I had a job interview with Worldhosting.org as a Systems Administrator. I felt very comfortable in the interview and the bloke seemed pretty cool. I shall hear back next week to see if I am short listed.

Updated: Well these guys didn't even bother to get back to me.

Journal Journal: Holidays

Recently we returned from a great first family holiday. Our son Philip started crawling, which brought parenting to a whole new level. We stayed at a lovely apartment at Cotton Tree, Maroochydore.

Journal Journal: Charity Shield 1

More Soccer! Tomorrow we play in the Charity shield. I think we play about 5 30min games. I felt I pulled up OK after the game against the Tigers 11.

I must say that they were really good. We were firmly beaten 6-2 - but I think we did a good job holding them to that. Needless to say that the pre-game preparation was non-existent. The jersies turned up as we were running on field. It was great fun though.

Journal Journal: First Soccer match

Tonight I play in our first soccer match against an Afganistan refugee team. Rumour has it that these guys are pretty good. I play for Mitchelton Presbyterian Church and tonight is a warm up friendly.

I hope it will be warm, cause it's been raining on-and-off all day. But I'm mostly worried about my fitness - though this will soon put me into shape.
