qURL Description
qURL offers a solution for developers, IT administrators, and small teams to effortlessly share local web applications, APIs, and files without the need for deployment. Utilizing its command-line interface, users can publish a service hosted on their machine and generate a link that adheres to specific access policies, allowing them to invite users, approve access requests, confirm email identities, or permit open access via the link. The application remains on the publisher's local system and does not require a public network address. The qURL CLI is compatible with macOS, Linux, and Windows operating systems, while the qURL Desktop application for macOS is designed to facilitate file and folder sharing with recipients who use a web browser. An additional optional MCP server provides compatible AI clients with the capability to create and manage links through the qURL API. The service offers a tier without account requirements that allows for up to three simultaneous shares, while a free account provides up to ten active shares and allows for 10 GiB of monthly traffic during the early access phase. Users commonly employ qURL for purposes such as previewing development work, conducting private demonstrations, gathering client feedback, and sharing files from their computers, showcasing its versatility and utility for various sharing needs. In this way, qURL not only streamlines the sharing process but also enhances collaboration among team members and clients alike.
