SentVi Description
SentVi (formerly Sentinel Visualizer) is a Windows desktop link analysis application from FMS, Inc. that runs on Microsoft SQL Server, with SQL Express bundled for single-user installs and full SQL Server for multi-user deployments. It stores entities (people, places, events, phone numbers, accounts, IP addresses, hardware) and typed, weighted relationships in a shared knowledge base that scales to millions of records, then renders them as interactive link charts with automated layouts, social network analysis metrics (centrality, shortest path, clustering), a time-range slider down to the second, and geospatial views on ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, shapefiles, GeoTIFF, and offline maps. Data arrives through an Import Wizard from call detail records, financial exports, spreadsheets, and case files; Query Builder and Dataset Builder filter at the database level. The application runs fully offline, including air-gapped, and needs no cloud services. Browser and remote app access are available for viewing. Licensing is perpetual with concurrent-user options and no dongle; a free Reader opens saved charts without a database connection. First released in 2005 under the Sentinel Visualizer name with investment from In-Q-Tel.
