The Presstimator is a specialized software tool tailored for estimating and managing jobs specifically for newspapers and commercial web offset printing companies. With the Presstimator, users can swiftly generate precise and comprehensive estimates. It enables the printing of personalized customer quotes, job tickets, invoices, skid tags, shipping manifests, and a wide array of other reports. After a job concludes and production data is collected via the Production Actuals application, the Estimate vs. Actuals report facilitates cost analysis, while the Markup feature and Profit Analysis report allow for meticulous tracking of profit margins. Users can apply various filters to compile job sets and create Total Usage reports that summarize the time and resources utilized. All costs and standards are centralized in one accessible location within the Shop Settings of the Presstimator database. Furthermore, by loading the Presstimator database onto a server, multiple users can simultaneously access the software, enabling them to share quotes, print reports, schedule jobs, and monitor inventory efficiently. This collaborative capability greatly enhances team productivity and streamlines the workflow in busy printing environments.
