you move on, which is why the second trip through a shoot is no quicker than the
first.
CoolCroco inverts that. Background workers decode an entire folder once and keep
the results resident, within a budget scaled to the machine's own memory and given
back whenever something else on the system needs the room. The consequence is that
direction stops mattering: arrow backwards through four hundred frames and every
one of them is already waiting. Push past fit and the picture is re-decoded at
sensor resolution, so 100% means 100%.
Sorting costs a keystroke. A assigns a picture to Approved, X to Rejected, Ctrl+Z
reverses either. The originals are relocated rather than removed, and their bytes
are never touched. Star ratings land in XMP sidecars that Lightroom, Bridge and
Capture One already understand.
