Pinly is an innovative plugin for Autodesk Revit that integrates Figma-style commenting features directly within the BIM model. Users can attach comments to specific locations on the plan, engage in threaded discussions, tag colleagues, express reactions with emojis, and resolve issues, all while remaining inside Revit without the need for PDF exports.

Rather than being confined to screenshots, email chains, or BCF files, comments are anchored directly to the model, ensuring clarity and easy access. A convenient sidebar displays all project comments with options for filtering and sorting, allowing users to click and instantly navigate to the corresponding pin on the plan. To maintain readability, comment pins cluster together at lower zoom levels, and a simple toggle allows for a distraction-free view by hiding all comments. Work is organized across teams using hubs and projects, with comments syncing instantly in real time.

Additionally, Pinly operates on an open MCP server, enabling AI assistants to programmatically add comments, such as verifying fire ratings for every door. These AI-generated comments are clearly marked with a distinct icon, ensuring they are easily identifiable and not confused with those made by human users. This combination of features makes collaboration more efficient and streamlined within the Revit environment.
