KDP Builder helps authors move from a book idea or existing manuscript to a package of publishing files. The browser-based studio brings research, outlining, AI-assisted drafting, editing, cover creation, interior formatting, and metadata preparation into a guided process. Authors review chapters and lock approved text as they work.
Workflows cover fiction, nonfiction, children's books, cookbooks, memoirs, puzzles, coloring books, journals, planners, and workbooks. The Design Studio provides editable cover templates, text and image layers, typography controls, print guides, and AI artwork tools. Depending on the book type and workflow, exports include EPUB, DOCX, print-ready PDF files, covers, descriptions, keywords, categories, and upload checklists. Users download their files for submission to Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Lulu, or another publishing service.
New users receive 75 one-time credits after email verification, valid for 14 days, without a credit card. Monthly plans start at $19 for 250 credits; larger subscriptions and one-time credit packs are available. Paid credits do not expire.
