    Edited: Dec 13 2024

Summary: Overall, our experience with OpManager has been highly positive. It has proven to be a reliable and efficient tool for network monitoring, offering real-time insights and customizable dashboards that enhance visibility into our IT infrastructure. The proactive alerts and reporting features have helped us stay ahead of potential issues, reducing downtime and improving overall performance. Its ease of use, combined with strong functionality, has made it a valuable solution for managing our systems.

Positive: I wanted to share some positive feedback on our experience with OpManager. The tool has been extremely effective in streamlining our network monitoring and management processes. Its real-time alerts and detailed reporting have significantly improved our ability to proactively address issues. Additionally, the user interface is intuitive, and the customizable dashboards make it easy to focus on critical tasks. Overall, OpManager has been a valuable asset to our IT operations

Negative: While OpManager has been highly effective overall, there are a few areas where improvements could be made. Some of the features can be overwhelming due to the complexity of setup, especially for newer users. Additionally, we’ve noticed that resource consumption can be high at times, which may affect performance in certain environments. Finally, integrating with other tools and platforms could be more seamless to enhance workflow efficiency.

    Jnr Cyber Engineer

    Date: Jun 19 2025

Summary: ManageEngine OpManager is a comprehensive and feature-rich network monitoring and infrastructure management tool. It excels in providing real-time insights, customizable alerts, and automation capabilities that streamline IT operations. Its intuitive dashboard, broad device compatibility, and integration with other ManageEngine products make it a strong choice for IT teams seeking visibility and control across their network. However, its complexity during initial setup, tiered pricing model, and occasional performance lags in the UI are factors to consider. Overall, OpManager is a powerful solution best suited for organizations with growing or complex IT environments that need centralized monitoring and proactive management.

Positive: ManageEngine OpManager is a robust network monitoring solution ideal for small to large enterprises. It offers real-time performance tracking of network devices, servers, and virtual machines, with support for SNMP, WMI, and CLI. The user-friendly interface and customizable dashboards make it easy to visualize data and detect anomalies. Built-in automation features like workflow and alerting help reduce manual tasks and improve response time. It also integrates well with other ManageEngine tools for a full-stack ITOM solution.

Negative: Despite its strengths, OpManager can be complex to configure initially, especially in large environments with custom monitoring needs. Some users report that the web interface can become sluggish under heavy load. Licensing can get expensive as your infrastructure grows, and certain advanced features (like IPAM, NCM, or firewall log analysis) are available only in higher-tier editions or as separate modules. Additionally, support response times may vary depending on your region and plan.

OpManager: A Versatile Tool for Monitoring Network Health

    Date: Nov 16 2024

Summary: OpManager has a more reasonable pricing structure than many other enterprise-level network monitoring products, particularly for small and mid-sized enterprises. This makes it a desirable choice for enterprises on a tight budget without compromising on necessary features.

OpManager can manage small, medium, and large network settings and is very scalable. Its distributed architecture ensures long-term value as your company grows by scaling with your network.

Positive: OpManager offers a comprehensive set of network monitoring services, such as real-time performance monitoring, network traffic analysis, and device detection

OpManager offers a user-friendly interface that is suitable for both rookie and experienced users. The setup process is extremely straightforward, and no advanced knowledge is required to get started.

OpManager is compatible with a wide variety of network devices and protocols, including SNMP, WMI, and CLI, as well as routers, switches, and servers.

If you already use ManageEngine products like ServiceDesk Plus for IT service administration or OpUtils for IP address management, OpManager interacts smoothly with them.

Negative: While OpManager automates some fundamental activities, such as network device discovery, it does not provide the more complex AI-driven insights and automation features that some modern monitoring systems do.

While OpManager is successful at monitoring on-premises networks, its capabilities for monitoring cloud infrastructure (such as AWS, Azure, and others) are fairly limited when compared to those of its competitors.
