Summary: An excellent alternative for Autocad. Very easy to transfer previous customisations from Autocad. A very affordable solution.

Positive: Full compatibility with Autocad, Low price, Perpetual Licence, low price to upgrade to the next version.
Easy to customise menus and toolbars and bring in previous Autocad customisation.
Autolisp works fine with Actcad. Very few changes required in old code containing the "Command Dim".

Negative: Not possible to plot with Print Styles and Transparency at the same time.
Bypass this problem by setting variable PLOTTRANSPARENCYOVERRIDE=2 and choosing Plot with Print Styles.
Print preview quality needs improvement.
No Visual Basic for Applications.

Summary: Best software for this price. Other software will be higher priced.
Lifetime software, no need for yearly renewal.

Positive: Permanent lifetime software, no need yearly renewal.
Best CAD software in this budget.
Create and edit this software for auto CAD files.

Negative: Normal working speed in windows 7 operating software.

You didn't get perpetual license in such economy cost.

Positive: 3D & 2D tool are available in single platform. It's good to use both 2D & 3D on same platform.

Negative: Block editing options are not so flexible.
Copy & paste of block become impossible some time. Need to fix this bug.

It provides a very good function set and a workflow similar to AutoCad.

Positive: Very similar to AutoCad. Make it easy to use when you know AutoCad.

Installation / Update may be tricky due to installer issues. However, ActCad support crew always solves it. Just a matter of time.

Documentation is crap. However, one can use AutoCad docs for most issues.

Summary: ActCAD has been rightfully wielded. It is rightfully owned, and the answers are tact. The teacher is the one who is on time and exacting. Thank you ActCAD.

Positive: ActCAD serves as a valuable tool for this sector. Don't get the inconclusive obligations of other party software. ActCAD is part of this critical infrastructure.

Negative: I don't like Bully Pulpit. It is just another genre, and isn't actually necessary.

Summary: Very good to excellent product. Great internet-based license option. Would recommend ActCAD versus AutoCAD LT every day of the week.

Positive: A rich and full set of features that make it competitive with AutoCAD LT and others in a comparable price range. Their internet-based license is a godsend and made the difference for my consulting business to purchase several licenses.

Negative: Not overly intuitive. Takes a bit of practice to know where tools are placed and how they are used within the ActCAD context.

Summary: After 20 years of professional experience I can say that it is the best 2D CAD solution for small teams.

Positive: Easy to use (like an aged AutoCAD) , good floating license management, and with an incomparable quality / price ratio.

Negative: Management of texts, attributes, blocks and hatches to be improved.

Summary: I enjoy using Actcad and it is a really good package that I am able to afford.

Positive: Same as old ActCad and so easy for me to use as my use is simply part of my hobby in designing metal work projects.

Negative: As I was never a cad draftsman, there is a lot of commands I struggle with and the help is rubbish.
