Description
Pandell GIS is a sophisticated land mapping software suite built on Esri technology that collaborates with Pandell LandWorks to visually represent land rights information. This software bridges your land system's data with the Esri ® ArcGIS mapping platform, enabling efficient management of spatial data for various land-related polygons, which cater to sectors such as upstream and midstream oil and gas, utilities, and renewable energy projects. Pandell GIS and Pandell LandWorks are intricately linked, working in perfect harmony to reduce data redundancy while enhancing planning, analysis, and communication efforts. Their real-time connection ensures the preservation of data integrity and promotes precise reporting capabilities. Fully integrated with Esri’s ArcGIS technology, Pandell GIS can be accessed as a single, cost-effective, hosted solution. By combining these advanced technologies, users benefit from top-tier GIS tools, comprehensive reports, and document image display that streamline land management processes, ultimately leading to more informed decision-making. The collaboration between these platforms exemplifies how integrated technology can elevate operational efficiency in land management.
Description
The City Form Lab has unveiled an innovative toolbox designed specifically for analyzing urban networks. This groundbreaking ArcGIS toolbox is the first of its kind, featuring centrality tools that facilitate the computation of five distinct graph analysis measures on spatial networks: reach, gravity, betweenness, closeness, and straightness. Additionally, it includes redundancy tools that calculate the redundancy index, identify redundant paths, and assess the wayfinding index. Notably, these tools boast three key features that enhance their effectiveness for spatial analysis in urban street networks. Firstly, they are capable of considering both geometry and topology within the input networks, allowing for the use of metric distance (such as meters) or topological distance (like turns) as impedance factors during analysis. Secondly, in contrast to earlier software tools that only handle two network elements—nodes and edges—the UNA tools introduce a third element: buildings, which serve as the spatial units for all analytical measures. This comprehensive approach not only improves the accuracy of urban analysis but also provides deeper insights into the relationships within urban environments.
