PVGround is a comprehensive solar design tool available as plugins for AutoCAD and ZWCAD, catering to both ground-mounted (PVGround) and rooftop (PVRoof) photovoltaic projects. This platform efficiently interprets terrain from drawings to strategically position solar panels, determines the megawatt capacity based on varying row spacings, and conducts shading analysis that accounts for obstacles like trees and fences. Additionally, it facilitates the planning of DC, AC, and HV cable routes in three dimensions, organizes pile lengths in correlation with tonnage, computes earthwork requirements for cutting and filling, and validates designs through cross-sectional evaluations. Meanwhile, PVRoof focuses on roof geometry by modeling slope and orientation, allowing for both automatic and manual panel placement while performing shading assessments. Users can export their designs to formats such as PVsyst, Excel, PDF, and DXF.
