Description
Miele-LXIV is a 64-bit DICOM viewer and workstation created by Alex Bettarini. The macOS variant, developed in Objective-C and compiled with Xcode, is offered as a free download. In contrast, the Windows and Linux versions are entirely re-engineered in C++ using CMake and wxWidgets, currently boasting around 25% of the features available in the macOS edition. To utilize the Windows version, OpenGL (Core profile) is required, and interested users can obtain a complimentary evaluation version by reaching out to the developer. Similarly, the Linux release, developed with gcc, also demands OpenGL drivers (Core profile) and has been verified for functionality on Ubuntu 24.04 and Linux Mint 22.1. Miele-LXIV serves not only as a DICOM workstation and viewer but also encompasses additional capabilities. This project originated in November 2014 as a derivative of the well-known open-source 32-bit project OsiriX, yet it has undergone significant modifications to transform it into a 64-bit application while eliminating many of the constraints imposed by the 32-bit predecessor. As a result, it continues to evolve, aiming to enhance the user experience and functionality further.
Description
NoMac offers cloud-based virtual machines running macOS on Apple silicon, designed specifically for iOS and macOS development. Each session comes equipped with macOS, Xcode, iOS simulator runtimes, and essential developer tools, allowing for seamless builds, testing, and simulator operations without needing a physical Mac. Developers and coding agents have the flexibility to manage their sessions via a browser desktop interface, CLI, SSH, HTTPS API, or a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Their workflows encompass tasks such as app building and testing, operating the simulator, taking screenshots, signing applications, and preparing uploads for TestFlight. Every session operates on a new virtual machine, which is deleted once the session concludes, ensuring a clean environment each time. Users can keep their projects and build caches intact between sessions using an account drive. NoMac caters to iOS and macOS developers, including teams utilizing coding agents that require Xcode, even those working from Windows or Linux environments. The billing structure is based on a per-minute usage rate from prepaid credits, with a minimum charge of one minute and a cap on spending per session. Additionally, this model allows developers to efficiently manage their resources and optimize costs while maintaining access to the necessary tools for effective development.
