Building and maintaining that data feed in house means tracking central bank updates, handling rate gaps, and keeping historical records, a real engineering cost most teams would rather skip. It is a hosted currency data service delivered over a REST API, giving developers live and historical foreign exchange rates for more than 1,000 currencies worldwide, along with major precious metals and cryptocurrencies. Every response is available in JSON or XML, which keeps integration simple regardless of the programming language or framework in use.
Beyond basic rate lookups, the platform includes a currency conversion endpoint for turning one amount into another directly, a Time Series endpoint for pulling rate history across a date range, a Fluctuation endpoint for measuring how much a currency moved between two dates, and an IP to Currency endpoint that automatically detects which currency a website visitor is likely using based on their location.
Update frequency and API call volume scale with the plan.
