Description
pg_hardstorage is an open-source tool designed for PostgreSQL backups, functioning as a replication client. This tool utilizes a content-addressed chunk store for backup storage, enabling each backup to be restored independently of previous ones. With the ability to back up and continuously stream WAL records, users can achieve recovery at any specific point in time. The tool is packaged as a single static binary that operates from an independent backup host, ensuring that the database environment remains uncluttered while simplifying the upgrade process.
