Description

ClaimBuster serves as the overarching platform for all fact-checking initiatives within the IDIR Lab. Originally launched to develop an AI system capable of identifying claims that warrant verification, it has progressively advanced towards achieving the ideal of fully automated fact-checking. While journalists primarily utilize ClaimBuster, it is designed for anyone motivated to confront misinformation. Accessing our models is straightforward through our API, which only requires the registration of a free API key. The success of ClaimBuster relies heavily on the contributions from individuals who label data. We encourage you to create an account and participate in labeling to enhance our model's effectiveness. Additionally, we've made our machine learning model training code available as open-source, inviting skilled AI engineers to contribute their expertise. Our claim-detection model even retweets posts it identifies as potentially needing fact-checking, expanding its utility in real-time. By participating, you can play an essential role in the ongoing battle against misinformation.

Description

Most tools in this category are one-click writers. You get a draft, unsourced, and somebody still has to check it. Mastheads works the other way round. Every article starts with research against real sources and carries its citations inline. It is written in a voice you set - tone, reading level, audience, banned words - under a real named byline rather than an admin account. It then passes through independent desks that edit the article rather than grade it: sourcing, standards, fact-check, quality and an editor-in-chief. Any of them can hold it back. What reaches you is the article and its trace: the sources it used, the checks it passed, and the ones it did not. Nothing publishes on its own unless you switch that on for a domain, and anything published unattended carries its EU AI Act Article 50 marker. Publishing goes to seven platforms: WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot and GoHighLevel. WordPress updates the same post in place; the other six create a new post each time, and the panel tells you which before you press the button. Draft-only is a full mode if you have no site at all. For agencies and portfolio operators the unit is the site: up to 20 from one dashboard, each with its own language, country, sections and authors. You own every article, and you can export all of it - Markdown, HTML, or a whole-account archive - whenever you like. Free 7-day trial, 10 articles, no card. Then Starter $99, Growth $249 or Pro $599 a month.

AI Writing

While many AI writing tools typically conclude their process at the drafting stage, Mastheads distinguishes itself by conducting thorough research prior to composing content and providing citations for the sources utilized. Each piece is crafted under a personalized byline that reflects a voice you choose. Additionally, articles undergo rigorous fact-checking and adhere to established standards, with editorial oversight ensuring that content is not released prematurely. The end result transparently indicates what information was verified and what did not meet the criteria. Ultimately, the authority over publication rests with the writer or editor. Once finalized, content can be published across a variety of seven platforms including WordPress.org, WordPress.com, Ghost, Webflow, Shopify, HubSpot, and GoHighLevel, and can be produced in any desired language.
