DOT Apply is an online platform designed for trucking carriers in the United States to facilitate driver employment applications through the FMCSA §391.21 process. Prospective drivers can fill out the application on their mobile devices in English, Spanish, or Russian, and they benefit from a CDL barcode scanning feature that automatically inputs their license details. Additionally, the form gathers electronic signatures for both FCRA disclosures and FMCSA PSP authorizations, generating a signed PDF that includes crucial information such as the IP address, timestamp, and document hash. Once submitted, carriers receive applications in a dedicated cabinet that automatically checks for incomplete data, inconsistencies in employment history, date discrepancies, and CDL restrictions.
