While serving as volunteers on a school PTA board, we encountered a frustrating and complex tax filing process for our nonprofit. The Form 990, even in its EZ version, felt overwhelming, and the available tools for filing both federal and state forms were lacking in functionality and user-friendliness.
With our backgrounds as engineers experienced in creating high-quality products, we recognized the opportunity to improve this situation.
