An interview with a burnt-out troll

"Why did he commit to trolling?

"Trolling?"

this asshole hasnt "reformed"

Please elaborate. When would you consider him "reformed"? When he's crouched on his broken kneecaps, begging for your forgiveness for sending you a few unsolicited mails?

"This asshole hasn't reformed" sounds a lot like a prohibionist, hardcore drug-warrior or a pro-capital punishment fascist.

Journal Journal: I am not Tim Ward

Just to clear a certain misunderstanding that might otherwise cause grief to Tim Ward, I'd just like to make it public that I am not him posting using another account.

Journal Journal: Karma surprise

I must say that I'm rather surprised - to the point of actual embarrasement - by the level of positive karma I have at present.

Maybe Slashdot is not as bad a nest of open source zealots as one could be lead to believe at first glance. Is there a silent majority who is sick of the zealotry or what's going on?

Journal Journal: Disturbing the peace

Oh dear, it looks like I've managed to disturb the open source nest again and the ants are all over me. Please don't waste the public bandwidth - waste all your hate on me here in my journal...

Journal Journal: Vacation

Looks like my vacation turned into a full-time Slashdot-posting sprint - both at home and at my parents' place. But don't get me wrong, I'm glad they finally got DSL.

Oh well, I've had fun here. Now it's time to relax, have some time off the net, meet some old friends during the weekend and prepare for the next week back at work.

Journal Journal: Am I being paid by Microsoft to astroturf MS products?

Many people have accused me and many other people on /. of astroturfing support for Microsoft's philosophy and software, because of my anti open source attitudes.

Well, here's the truth: I was into free/open software, but I'm not anymore. It's a narrowminded, groupthinking cult that does not and will not tolerate any dissent or diversity. It is also fundamentally socialist by nature.

As far as the astroturfing accusation goes, I will neither confirm it or deny it.
