Instances that are backed by reservations will not be substituted with Spot instances, preserving their intended use. Additionally, the system is designed to automatically respond to Spot termination notifications, allowing for expedited replacement of on-demand instances. Furthermore, EBS volumes can be configured to attach seamlessly to newly provisioned replacement instances, facilitating uninterrupted operation of stateful applications.
