Does Not Sync Between M1 Mac & Android Phone Date: Sep 14 2024
Summary: Does not connect to an Android phone from an M1 Mac Mini via either USB or WiFi. SyncMate module for Android has to be sideloaded (not in Google Play Store), which is a security risk, and it was built for an older version of Android, which may be why it didn't work, anyway. Not recommended.
Positive: If it worked, it would be great, based on the advertised features. However, since it didn't work for me, there's nothing to like about it.
Negative: It simply didn't work. It was a little complicated to set up, requiring the sideloading of an outdated Android app, turning on Developer settings, and turning on USB debugging, and after that, it still didn't work over either USB or WiFi.
