Rumble Description

Rumble.com operates as an open video platform underpinned by a proprietary rights management technology. This innovative technology employs a machine learning-based DRM algorithm known as Rumble Rank, which efficiently automates the processes of verification, clearance, discovery, and licensing for user-generated content (UGC) videos. Remarkably, within a short span of less than three years, the platform has risen to become one of the top 50 video destinations, as reported by ComScore. In response to legal challenges, particularly the Viacom lawsuit, YouTube relinquished its rights management capabilities, leading to the introduction of Multi Channel Networks (MCNs) that now handle video management on its platform. By sacrificing control over rights management, YouTube has found itself unable to scale its rights management systems algorithmically and cannot offer unbiased distribution or enable publishers to monetize video embed revenue. While platforms like iTunes, Netflix, and Amazon apply basic DRM measures for their long-form content, generally linked to a limited number of studios, the challenge remains unsolved for the vast array of videos being created by everyday users. Consequently, the need for an effective solution to address the complexities of DRM in the age of widespread user-generated content is more pressing than ever.

    Rumble is good but...

    Date: May 08 2025

Summary: While Rumble tends to be more open than some mainstream platforms when it comes to freedom of expression, that doesn’t mean it’s completely free of censorship. They still have policies in place to curb content that doesn’t meet the platform’s guidelines or legal requirements. So I decide to use BitChute more

Positive: Varies of the content in the good quality.
    Nice and clean design.
Everything nice until I found out that they are censored !
IMO, BitChute is the way better free speech platform

Negative: Not the real free speech platform, Some channel that I'm following get banished, and its centralized structure allows content to be easily censored at the click of a button, whether by the company itself or under government pressure. This reality means it cannot truly be considered a free speech platform, so don't be misled into thinking otherwise.

    Great product

    Date: Feb 01 2022

Summary: Rumble, as far as I have explored, is a great app. I might even switch from YouTube completely if this platform grows.

Positive: Even with the free trial, I could upload videos and this platform really does support free speech. I could see totally logical views here on this platform which were banished from the mainstream media.

Negative: Needs improvement in design aspect. Everything else is ok.

    Subversive censorship and gaslighting.

    Date: Oct 21 2023

Summary: I noticed everyone I started watching on there slowly stopped posting. When I messaged the creators on YouTube they told me that they're still posting there daily, I explained I hadn't seen them in many months. After extensively researching into why it appears about a year ago without a word Rumble began censoring people, even for the most mundane thing. And rather than telling you you've done something naughty, or committed a thought crime, they just yeet you into the abyss like YouTube, Twitter, Bitchute, etc. do.

They're ACTIVELY gas lit users. Gas lighting of this level has caused tens of thousands of deaths of despair and suicides, it has a real world cost to peoples lives, sanity, and emotions. Dishonesty and pure evil antics like infringing on peoples human rights is unacceptable. For this reason I recommend never using Rumble.

    Positive: YouTube alternative.
Free speech at the very start for a while.
Didn't ban people for a while.
Didn't lie to people for a while.

    Negative: Infringes on human rights.
    Bans people for wrongthink.
    Disappears videos without warning.
