Phone2 Description
Phone2 is an innovative cloud-based phone system that facilitates the addition of a distinct business number to your personal device, thus removing the necessity for extra hardware. This service provides unlimited two-way voice calls and SMS/MMS messaging to and from any number in the U.S. or Canada, with all interactions neatly organized into a single thread for each contact. Teams can benefit from the ability to share a common phone number, which promotes collaborative communication through a shared inbox for both calls and texts. Users can also manage their contacts effectively by adding notes and file attachments, allowing Phone2 to function akin to a mini-CRM, while also enabling the import of contacts from personal devices or Google accounts. Additionally, Phone2 supports various integration options, making it easier to connect with other applications to enhance operational efficiency, ensuring that businesses can communicate seamlessly and effectively.

Use other alternatives, there are many and they're all better Date: Sep 12 2025
Summary: If you're thinking of using Phone2.IO, I urge you to stop here and reconsider. You probably already considered that there are so many options out there if you want a new phone line. And now consider the type of company this is:
This phone line requires you to use their own app for it to work. Now, I test this app by having friends call me before I use it for business. The app's call receiving is unreliable - I've missed test calls. The app's call notifications are unreliable - I've had missed calls that showed up but didn't ring. This is separate from calls I just didn't receive at all. And this is not even getting into the quality of the calls, or the SMS, because why would I use something this unreliable as a touch-point for my business? It doesn't make sense. The app is also feature-poor - I can't even set this line to ring differently from my main number.
Suffice to say, I requested a refund. Their return policy says:
30-Day Refund Window
You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase, provided:
You did not use a free trial before purchasing.
The refund request is not due to a refusal to complete TCR registration.
I satisfy both of those, and yet they still won't give me a refund because they claim calls are going through. This service failed reliability tests that I conducted, so how do they know all calls are going through? They just know the calls that they see are going through. Not to mention, the mandatory app is horrible. They refuse to give me any other reason to deny my refund, falling back to the language that I in fact "can request" a refund although it'll be on a case by case basis. Well, if you use language like this, technically I "can request" a refund in any and all circumstances, not just "provided those 2 criteria are satisfied". This is just an excuse to hide behind the fine letter of their print and not having the spirit of having integrity and keeping happy customers.
There are some things in life that, if you try it out, you'll get punished. Phone2.IO is one of them. They have many, many alternatives and competitors. You don't have to use Phone2.IO, and it's best for you if you don't.
Google "phone2.io return reviews" if you want more information.
P.S. If they reply saying they'll make things right, well if they really did make things right I wouldn't have had to write this review in the first place.Positive: Nothing. Ok, I guess the price was alluring.
Negative: Reliability

Any reasonable person will read this and think there's a 30 day risk free period to trial the service. Unfortunately they don't honor this. Reviews everywhere say the same thing. Heed warning. -

Awful service Date: Aug 08 2025
Summary: On paper, this service looks good, but if it doesn't work out for you, you won't get a refund due to their 'policy.'
Positive: This is an absolute ripoff. Hidden fees, misleading advertising and extra fees for services their advertising suggests is included in subscription.
Negative: Avoid these people like the plague....misleading advertising....wanted to try them out for a month and thought I was paying $4, instead was an entire year and refused a refund. Oh, and fully functional SMS? That'll cost you an extra $1.50 per month, which they don't mention on their website
