PeakD Description
The combination of decentralization and the innovative idea of "cryptographic keys" empowers individuals to attain genuine ownership over their content. Unlike traditional social media platforms that aim to keep users reliant on their services, this approach allows for a level of autonomy unprecedented in the digital landscape. Your contributions, including posts and comments, exist outside the confines of PeakD or any similar platform, ensuring that only you, as the holder of the keys, can modify or enhance your content. This facilitates the opportunity for users to not only establish but also possess their own communities, or opt for a community-driven model. In this framework, PeakD serves as a supportive ally for your community's growth and development. Furthermore, the relationships you cultivate with other users are not tied to PeakD, ensuring that your network remains robust and independent. The concern of deplatforming is a symptom of systems lacking true ownership and decentralization, making this platform a refreshing alternative. Here, authority and power are distributed among the community, fostering a collaborative environment unlike any before. This initiative represents a transformative shift away from conventional practices, laying a solid foundation distinct from other content or social media platforms. With this new model, users can finally feel secure and liberated in their digital interactions.

Alternative user interface to Hive Date: Apr 27 2022
Summary: Just a different user interface to Hive so everything said about Hive is true about PeakD as well — with the only difference being that PeakD has a more feature rich user experience.
PeakD is one of the three blockchains which has forked from Steem and shares many functionality with its peers.
All PeakD blog posts are stored on a public ledger and can't be deleted. This is something to consider when using PeakD.
PeakD postings are monetised based on the upvotes received. However can be hard for new users to get enough upvotes to pass the 2ç minimum payout threshold.
The blockchain supports user defined token which can be used by communities to add additional incentives and communities for many interests have been created.Positive: • Content is kept on the blockchain can't be deleted.
• Own cryptocurrency with no transaction fees.
• Community driven through elected witnesses.
• Markdown support to create feature rich blog postings.
• Monetisation though cryptocurrency.
• Support for Groups/Community/Tribes support
• API for automation.

Negative: Would really prefer that the software was open source. All transactions can be completed through Keychain to verify safety, so it's not a huge con.
