Efficient document collaboration for high impact teams Date: Aug 06 2025
Summary: ONLYOFFICE Docs is a well-rounded tool that covers everything I need across strategy, documentation, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration. It’s helped me reduce turnaround time, maintain consistency, and improve visibility across multiple program tracks, whether that’s drafting IAB Tech Lab proposals or building internal tools with engineering teams.
It strikes a strong balance between ease of use and professional capability. For anyone in product or program management, it offers a reliable, collaborative workspace that easily integrates into your broader ecosystem.Positive: ONLYOFFICE Docs has been incredibly valuable in my day-to-day program management tasks where precision and collaboration are non-negotiable. Whether I’m documenting strategic initiatives like the vertical video product "Bytes" or managing ad experience tooling with my cross-functional squad, ONLYOFFICE offers a stable and intuitive environment to co-author with zero friction. The ability to edit Word, Excel, and PowerPoint formats without breaking formatting has made it much easier to maintain consistent documentation across internal and external stakeholders. I especially appreciate the commenting and version control features that help streamline feedback cycles, particularly when iterating on A/B test summaries or campaign optimization docs.
Another standout use case is how effortlessly it integrates into existing workflows. For example, while working on internal analytics dashboards or ML bidding algorithm enhancements, I often have to collaborate with data analysts and engineers. ONLYOFFICE’s spreadsheet functionality has been immensely helpful in running through pivot tables, tracking engagement KPIs, and formatting agency reports that eventually feed into SQL pipelines. It enables quick alignment without needing to switch tools or lose time due to file incompatibilities. Simply put, it’s a unified workspace that supports everything from documentation to data alignment to stakeholder presentations.Negative: Some advanced spreadsheet features like complex charts or formatting options can feel a bit limited compared to Excel. When working on detailed analytics or visual presentations, I occasionally have to export files to desktop apps for final polishing. Performance in large collaborative documents can also lag slightly under heavy load, but it’s minor and doesn’t significantly affect overall productivity.

OnlyOffice 9.0 has changed the way I work for the better Edited: Jul 20 2025
Summary: OnlyOffice 9.0 has become a constant companion, an always-on app, and it has completely changed the way I work and handle my files. For several years, I kept all my active files on Google Drive and used Google Docs and Sheets to edit them. I volunteer for a non-profit that rehabs donated computers and gives them free to students and immigrants. We install LibreOffice on all these computers. But I never installed LibreOffice on my own system because I don't find it appealing. I learned about OnlyOffice when one of my non-profit colleagues suggested it to the group. I was fortunate enough to encounter OnlyOffice for the first time when it had just been completely redesigned and upgraded to version 9. I gave it a try and am so impressed with the program that I removed all my files from Google Drive and put them back on my hard drive. I now edit them exclusively with OnlyOffice, which I find a lot easier to use than Google Docs and Sheets. I back up my files automatically with the Google Drive desktop app. This new setup is working wonderfully well for me. I'm grateful to OnlyOffice for allowing individual users like me to use this powerful office suite.
Positive: Its appealing user interface. Also, I was amazed to find that OnlyOffice Documents includes Track Changes capabilities. I have already used this feature, with which I am very familiar from an earlier editorial job.
Negative: Lack of a Grammarly plugin. Also, I have had trouble getting the Auto Fit Row Height command to work properly in spreadsheet cells I would like to expand.

Too good but can be even better with AI Date: Jul 16 2025
Summary: Overall experience is good so far, and I am also expecting to see a lot of AI integration, which can even make the experience a lot better. If that has been already done then please let me know I want to experience this as well.
Positive: Everything about this product is good. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. all are at par with Microsoft Office when compared with functionalities. For example, the latest feature of Microsoft Office PowerPoint is Morph, and we see it being used a lot these days. The same is also available in OnlyOffice !!! This is just an example and there are more such features for which you definitely need to try this and experience it yourself.
Negative: The PDF Feature can be improved, as I see some lag when the PDF is picture heavy (with a lot of graphics) or if it's a magazine. There is a slight delay even when we scroll through the pages and experience is not that smooth.

The Supreme Digital Office Suite Date: Jul 11 2025
Summary: I am a undergraduate student who uses the OnlyOffice free plan. I signed up for OnlyOffice after learning that it was a highly recommended alternative to the Google and Microsoft document editing software lines of products. Its many features, particularly cloud storage and autosave, and security and privacy protections were what interested me most. I have used OnlyOffice for at least 15 text-based and image-based essays and projects in my education, as well as for personal needs. I would recommend that anybody who uses Microsoft Office or the Google suite of products immediately switch to OnlyOffice. It is a great company that makes superior products.
Positive: Cloud sync, autosave, security of files, privacy, feature-packed and complete virtual office suite, PDF editor.
Negative: I am glad to say that I have not experienced any issue with OnlyOffice.

Long-term User Date: Jul 08 2025
Summary: Over the last year or two, OpenOffice has become as effective and comparable to popular mainstream office editing software. I'm usually a person who is a first adopter of software and share what I think with others. Wish more people knew how great this is nowadays, highly recommend anyone checking it out for themselves to see what works best for them, you can only benefit from exploring this product!
Positive: I prefer open-ended software over closed software when it gets as good or better than the alternative competitors.
Negative: Because I've been trained and used at least two of the main primary competitors for so long, I have to intentionally spend more time with the plethora of detailed customizable options available with this suite.

Loving the New Look in OnlyOffice! Date: Jul 08 2025
Summary: OnlyOffice has come a long way. The new look is great, and the AI features are a nice touch. It’s easy to use and familiar, especially for Linux users like me. A few more templates and better cloud support would be nice, but overall, I’m pretty happy with it.
Positive: My favorite thing about OnlyOffice is the new look after the version 9 update — it’s actually pretty cool. I also really like the AI features. It’s great that you can choose different AI LLMs; for example, I use Together AI for image creation, Gemini for translation, and others for general purposes. That flexibility is really nice.
A few years ago, when I first joined the Linux community, I started using OnlyOffice. To be honest, the interface felt familiar right away — so yeah, that’s a plus.Negative: I don’t have many complaints, but of course, there are a few things that could be improved. For example, I think we need more templates — especially creative ones. If there were an option to generate custom AI-based templates, that would be amazing. Also, while cloud services are already supported, I think the integration could be improved further.

Best office software for cross-platform use Date: Jul 08 2025
Summary: Overall great experience. I've really enjoyed using OnlyOffice and I'm so grateful it exists. It made switching to Linux a lot easier for me since I was able to learn the program on my previous computer beforehand.
Positive: Everything about this program is amazing! I love how feature-rich it is and how attentive the developers are to the needs of those who use it. The online version is incredible as well.
Negative: Can't really think of any cons. I guess the devs could do a little more testing of certain things before they roll them out (I'm thinking of when they said OnlyOffice was now compatible with .pages, .numbers, and .keynote files but the compatibility wasn't very good).

Replaced Microsoft Office for me. Date: Jul 08 2025
Summary: I recommend OnlyOffice to everyone. Its the only option for those that want a fully featured office suite for collaboration on the web, desktop and mobile.
Positive: OnlyOffice is the perfect solution for those that want to collaborate and don't like Google Docs or Microsoft Office. My favorite feature is the built-in PDF editor. This is a game changer for companies that don't want to sell out for the expensive Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Negative: The only issue we ever had with switching from Microsoft to OnlyOffice was the inability for the spreadsheet program to import values from networked xlsx files that have spaces in the directory string. We have to rename all of our files to get it to work properly and remove any spaces with the file names.

Great office support Date: Jul 08 2025
Summary: I feel great, now I get to work my office papers without having to pay massive amounts of money every single month and having to take that as a monetary loss
Positive: I got to know this software after some issues with payments and licenses but this is great and free. I don't need to pay every month for something I NEED to use. It's also light to the pc, making it a great choice for office equipment that is rather old or cheap
Negative: It took me some time to get used to the main menu and how to create a new document.

So simple, even my father-in-law can use Edited: Jul 08 2025
Summary: The best alternative for Microsoft Office by far. No big learning curve. It's visually beautiful. Carry on your old docs.
Positive: Very intuitive and familiar interface - my father-in-law, 74 years-old, made the transition with a little set of instructions;
Full compatible docs with know formats - writing letters, reports, using spreadsheets, or creating presentations that can be opened elsewhere, without stress converting things;
Cross-platform - From PC to the smartphone, then online, again full compatible;
Tab experience - For the ones who loves it.Negative: It's slow for opening small or big files - once opened, no lags, but takes it in advance;

An amazing open source suite Edited: Jul 08 2025
Summary: I use ONLYOFFICE daily and like its features. The suite is powerful, user-friendly and has wonderful and beautiful UI.
Positive: ONLYOFFICE is easy to use, and a good alternative for users coming from proprietary and paid software, mainly due to its polished, beautiful and organized interface. The suite also has enough cloud features, and it is a great solution for teams which need to collaborate.
Negative: I just feel the lack of a database editor and manager.

ONLYOFFICE ensures control, collaboration, and compliance Edited: May 25 2025
Summary: As a security analyst, I found ONLYOFFICE to be well-aligned with enterprise-level compliance and data control requirements. The flexibility of deployment and encryption support made it easy to recommend internally. It strikes the right balance between usability and governance. I genuinely feel confident using it for both technical documentation and collaborative planning.
Positive: Document permissions are highly configurable, which is critical from a security standpoint. Real-time collaboration works smoothly without compromising access control. The platform supports on-premise deployment, offering better control over data flow. Audit logs and role-based access settings help ensure accountability across teams. Integration with existing LDAP and SSO systems made user management very straightforward.
Negative: UI response on large spreadsheets could be slightly more responsive at times, though it doesn’t affect core usability.
