Excellent platform if you use certain brokers Date: May 18 2024
Summary: I have used Medved QT and Medved Trader for more than 20 years. I currently use it with Schwab although the API is still being modified since Schwab bought TDAmeritrade.
Positive: Easy to use, easy to setup. Responsive, great screens, alerts, and charts. Not too busy. Great multi-stock viewing.
Negative: Depends heavily on which broker(s) you use. Medved Trader is dependent on several brokers for sourcing.

Summary: If you trade intermittently, say several times a weeks, my best choice is Medved Trader.
Positive: Learning curve is livable. Some of the competition, such as TOS or TWS are impossible to learn unless you need to use them daily. And take good notes.
Using IBKR for fills, and chart trading in Medved Trader seems to give excellent trade completions.
Little extras like candle recognitions are very nice.Negative: Online documentation is limited and training non-existent.

Summary: As I said above, good charts and studies but chancy support. I use this every day but sometimes run into strange anomalies that can't be easily resolved, especially when there is no email support response.
Positive: The charts are flexible, accurate, and extremely flexible. The studies and navigation are great. Sometimes it takes a while to load, moreso than similar programs. Overall the studies are plentiful and can be applied to charts globally or individually. Charts can be extended to another scree.
Negative: The only support (when it's there) is email. Complex issues end up with a lot of back and forth to resolve. Many times there is simply no response. When there is, sometimes it comes with a little attitude. Apparently it's one person, the owner. But the support comes and goes. Nothing one can count on.
