Summary: This software is by far the best that I have ever used. I have used many different POS and inventory management systems and this is so far above the rest that I do not hesitate to recommend this to everyone regardless of company size or budget. When doing research and looking for a software for our small business, Lightspeed had all the features we were looking for, but when we also found out that it was the best priced, AND had many features we never knew we always wanted, we became customers for life.
Positive: Integrated payment processing, many features, user friendly and great customer service. The price is competitive and the reports give you awesome access to real time, useful information. Customer support is 5-stars.
Negative: I honestly cannot think of any cons to this software. Every feature I try to think of that I would like for them to have, they have. Just an awesome software with great customer service. No cons!

Summary: The eCom integration has been a real bonus for us during lockdown allowing us to give our customers 24/7 access to our store regardless of in person accessibility.
Positive: Everything you need is included, no extra modules to purchase to achieve a bare minimum system. Support is great and if you can't figure out settings for your eCom store, they'll set it up for you.
Negative: Most of my issues are more related to it operating differently than my old system. Didn't used to allow negative inventory, but that's been fixed.

Lightspeed Retail Date: Feb 05 2021
Summary: I am happy I made the choice to pay more for Lightspeed as they have allowed me to grow my business.
Positive: Lightspeed provides me with a means to have a POS, track inventory, track employee hours, run sales reports, and more from anywhere with an internet connection. I have barely scratched the surface of what Lightspeed can do for me.
Negative: Price is high, but it is definitely worth every penny.

Summary: Lightspeed has helped us grow our sales numbers and increase efficiency. Customer communication is easy and is logged for review at a later date if needed. The analytics add-on has helped us with forecasting and identifying areas of opportunity so that we can effectively strategize.
Positive: The constant development of this product and its add-on modules and API integrated affiliates is one of the reasons I switched to this software. 24/7 customer service has been a big help when a question comes up afterhours during a data upload or other product that is best completed off-hours.
Negative: There are still some work-arounds. I would love to see a better system for Purchase Order backorders as well as the ability to implement recurring billing for customers.

Summary: Can't say enough about their support. They have it covered in every way. Any questions I have are immediately taken care of. Simple integration to my quickbooks. Inventory is in complete control and simple to maintain.
Positive: Service is thorough and efficient. They go through great lengths to get me up to speed.
Inventory is wonderful. reorder notices and accurate counts.
Bar code and scanner works wonders.Negative: My only complaint is having to reset the inventory label printer. More of a network problem on my end though.

Summary: I found the whole process from start to finish to be very smooth. Within a couple of days I was making sales and processing orders.
Positive: The platform is super easy to use and has all the features I need without complicating things. It was very easy to onboard and get up and running.

Positive: Easy to use, completely integrated with our website, affordable. Lightspeed helps get everything setup and make the transition super easy.

Summary: Easy to use, quick to learn. Lots of integration tools remove ordering steps. Slightly on the expensive side but in the end it is a powerful tool that is certainly worth every dollar.
Positive: Lightspeed streamlines daily operations and allows managers to customize it to maximize work flow. It's a program that makes sales, workorders, and inventory a breeze. Excellent organization and intuitive to use.
Negative: Would be nice if there was a rental fleet component and pricing incentives.

Summary: The system is great! Highly recommend this! The ease of this makes it worth it. This retail system does it all! It has been a wonderful experience from the start.
Positive: The inventory tracking, the invoicing, Quickbooks integration, time clock, rewards program, and the list goes on of all the awesome features! The customer service is top notch, they are always able to help if you have a question or an issue to resolve (which there are not a lot of issues!!).
Negative: There is not really anything that I do not like about this system.

Summary: This is a great point of sale system. It's easy to learn, easy to implement and we love the inventory control features. We are a small retail pet supply store and it does everything we need it to do. Customer service is terrific when you need them, which isn't all that often. Outstanding reliability, It just works!
Positive: Ease of use, anyone can learn the system.
Inventory control is critical to managing stock levels to keep customers happy and maintain good cash flow.
Up-time, the system is literally never down.
Customer Service.Negative: Not much to comment here. It's not the cheapest on the market, but it does offer good value for small business.

Summary: Migrating to a new POS system is a daunting and time consuming project. Lightspeed does make the onboarding very easy and walks you through it every step of the way. It is worth going with Lightspeed as you will receive an amazing inventory management system integrated with a front of the house POS platform. The ecomm platform if you get it too is easy to set up and very quick to get you started selling on line.
Positive: Setup and migration of products.
Easy to learn.
Customer service and support.
Robust inventory management.Negative: Rather than charge for add ons I would rather they charge one flat rate for everything.

Summary: We love how easy this was to set up. It does not require buying thousands of dollars worth of equipment like our first POS system did back in 2008. In fact it can easily be used with just an iPad! We are not computer savvy at all and this system has never confused us or new employees. We love everything about it! So much that if we ever strike up a conversation with a fellow business owner that mentions they are thinking about a new system you better believe they are going to hear all about this one! You can read all about the features and I could tell you everything that we love or you can just be smart like we were and just try it. If you do want to talk to an actual person that is using the system you can certainly get in touch with one by calling one of the helpful reps at Lightspeed. They will connect you with a business owner that will tell you everything you want to know about their daily experience. It helped us make the decision to pull the trigger and get the ball rolling!
Positive: Ease of initial setup and the fact that you can use ANY computer including iPad. Not ridiculously overpriced. The support is amazing.
Negative: Honestly can’t think of anything that is a problem. I have learned to ask if I don’t like or understand something, usually it is just me doing it wrong.

Lightspeed ROCKS!!!!! Date: Nov 23 2020
Summary: AMAZING product with powerful back of house infrastructure that is well thought out, and allows for instantaneous remote changes.
Positive: We operate 4 Cannonball Cafés in Jamaica. This is our second year of using Lightspeed. When we bought the business in 2016, we installed another company's system which, after a few months use, revealed it's weakness for use in a multi-unit business.
We plodded along for awhile under the "Better to stay with the Devil you know..." philosophy until a sharp eyed customer got very upset because she noticed the price of one of our specialty coffees at one location was vastly different from another location... we had made a late night keystroke mistake entering the updated prices!
What caught our eye with Lightspeed was the powerful Back-of-House infrastructure that allows us to make REMOTE CHANGES to our menus, our controls etc IN AN INSTANT on our phones, tablets or computers: last year on a trip to China, we got a text from one of our managers requesting a menu addition - somewhere over the Pacific at 40,000 feet, my wife added the item and went back to sleep!!!! The level of detail that supports our business goes far beyond what we could imagine - while a lot of detail & thought has to go into setting up Lightspeed initially, that effort pays dividends when using the system.
Finally, the support we get from the Technical Support team is amazing - the Techs are all very well trained, are extremely knowledgeable and can resolve problems that are outside their Lightspeed purview: in September, a store was having a weird connectivity problem that was traced by Catherine in Tech Support back to a DHCP problem with our Wi-Fi (nothing to do with Lightspeed). She sent me the steps to fix the problem, stayed with me while the changes were made, and then followed up later to ensure everything was working properly. Their Support Team takes time to resolve problems, rather than rushing us offline to keep up with some productivity metric....Negative: Have not found anything I do not like about Lightspeed!!!

Summary: This was a great point of sales systems for us to use for our retail store. It has all the features that we needed and room for us to grow.
Positive: Great inventory tracking, very user friendly, great reports, great customer service. Never had any real issues.
Negative: Sometimes we are unable to use when they are having issues.
