    We used to be friends

    Date: Sep 30 2025

Summary: Beyond the typical "business as usual" approach to innovative PR tools, the creation of the right PR tools can completely change how we tell stories.

It's ambitious and worth it, but success of these platforms directly relates to understanding the industry you benefit from and who you're building with.

Forget that, and you become like everyone else. But, that's already been done.

Positive: There's an enthusiasm about this team who seem to value innovation, in stark contrast to other companies that can be business-as-usual and lack personable communication.

Negative: What began as high hopes for this platform making its debut in the US is now utter disappointed. I tried in earnest to stay flexible the first time I utilized the new software. We both put our best foot forward to think through ways to uplift this new innovative tool. As I tried it again, I was directly invoiced from this platform via Swipe which is typically assumed as a single purchase (invoice #B6F290CA-0010, receipt #2078-9458). I didn't access the payment portal through their platform because it was buggy. With a functional experience, I'd have otherwise had the opportunity. To my surprise, I was charged for a new month after I specifically said I was trying it for a single month to A/B test on a new project. Additionally, I was told this organization would look up journalists listed on their site with no email address and they didn't. This isn't the way to make friends in this market IR.
