Intego VPN is a macOS-focused virtual private network designed to improve privacy and security while browsing, streaming, working, or using public Wi-Fi. It creates an encrypted tunnel between the user’s Mac and the internet so browsing activity and transmitted data are less exposed to third parties. The service masks the user’s IP address by replacing it with an address from one of Intego’s VPN servers. Users can connect to global servers with a single click and select locations based on their browsing or travel needs. An automatic connection option can activate the VPN when the Mac joins an unfamiliar or unsecured network. Intego VPN also includes a kill switch that stops traffic if the protected connection is interrupted unexpectedly. Encrypted DNS is used to reduce the risk of DNS leaks and add another layer of protection against tracking. Intego states that the service follows a no-activity-logging policy and does not record users’ browsing histories. The VPN is offered as part of Intego ONE alongside antivirus, firewall, and system optimization tools for supported Macs.

Intego SmartClean is a Mac optimization utility included with Intego ONE that helps users clean storage, monitor system resources, and improve day-to-day performance. Its Optimization Scan searches for junk files, hidden clutter, and other unnecessary data that can consume disk space or contribute to slowdowns. Quick Cleanup provides a streamlined way to remove unneeded files while leaving important user data intact. The App Uninstaller goes beyond dragging an application to the Trash by identifying and removing associated leftover files. CPU monitoring shows how applications are using processing resources and provides visibility into temperature levels that may affect system stability. RAM monitoring helps users understand memory allocation and identify applications that are consuming excessive resources. Disk Space Monitor provides a clearer view of how storage is being used so large, junk, and unnecessary files can be managed more easily. SmartClean also maintains an Optimization History and provides tips and notifications to help users keep track of maintenance activity over time. The software supports macOS 12.4 or later, Intel and Apple Silicon processors, and requires at least 8 GB of RAM and 2 GB of available storage.
