Great app for quick video conferences

    Edited: Jun 21 2020

Summary: Personally for me, Google Meet interface has been the best among all the other conference apps I've tried. Especially since you can just use your gmail id, which makes it fairly easy. Delivers what it promises, and is overall a good software.

Positive: • Excellent audio and video quality
    • You can conference with upto 100 people at a time.
    • Easy, intuitive interface, with easily accessible features.
    • The messaging interface is cool.
    • I love that it provides full security to the users.
    • It's free version provides enough features.
    • Requires much less bandwidth than some other conference softwares I've used.

Negative: • The mobile version doesn't allow a fullscreen option, which is disappointing.
    • There's a time limit of 60 minutes in the free version.
    • There's no way to record your sessions, take notes, or save them for later viewing.

Google Meet - Easy to use

    Date: Jun 11 2020

Summary: Most of my companies internal meetings are scheduled over Google Meet. It is pretty decent and does the job. The lagging feature is that it does not have a screen recording feature like in the other applications. The pixel clarity of the video calling is good but can be a lot better.

On an overall basis can be used on a daily basis. The best thing is that it is completely free and can be easily accessed by Gmail just by creating a meeting in a Google Calendar.

Positive: (+) Very easy to use, provides decent quality.
(+) Integration with calendar and one can easily generate a meeting link just by creating a meeting in the calendar.
(+) Design is quite simple and easy to navigate.
(+) The Mobile version is very good compared to its competitors.

Negative: (-) No option to record the meeting.
(-) The phone call connection using a toll-free number like in zoom and global meet is not up to the mark can be better.
(-) Sometimes the call gets stuck and takes time to regroup.
(-) Screen sharing can be better.

    Adequate free solution

    Date: Aug 17 2021

Summary: Google Meet can certainly work in a pinch and is probably the best bet for an organization that does limited video conferencing. However, if you're on multiple video meetings a day, you're likely going to want to use Zoom or another paid solution.

Positive: I love how easily integrated this is with the rest of GSuite -- we use GMail, GCal, etc. and the way they work together is wonderful.

Negative: Unfortunately the video and sound quality are simply not as smooth as Zoom, to the point that it can be distracting.
