GOM Inspect Description
GOM Inspect is a powerful tool designed for the analysis of 3D measurement data obtained from fringe projection or laser scanning, coordinate measurement machines, and various other measurement systems. This software plays a crucial role in areas such as product development, quality assurance, and manufacturing processes. It allows users to import CAD files, measurement plans, and 3D point clouds, while also providing tools for the creation and modification of polygon meshes. The alignment of measurement data to the nominal specifications is seamlessly integrated, including dimensional analysis in 2D and 3D, as well as GD&T and SPC evaluations, accompanied by the generation of comprehensive measurement reports. As a complimentary viewer for 3D scan data, measuring reports, and CAD files, GOM Inspect enhances accessibility for users. Furthermore, any changes in CAD or individual components trigger an automatic update of measurement positions through the "Smart Teach" feature. If multiple tools identify a defect, these findings can be consolidated into a single representation for clarity. Additionally, the introduction of a new module facilitates the virtual clamping and measurement of sheet metal and injection-molded parts, eliminating the need for complicated clamping setups. This innovation streamlines the measuring process and enhances efficiency in quality control.
