Summary: My overall experience from this app if I was rating it would be a 10 out of 10. I’ve had mo issues. Quick to learn, great place to find everything you need, and it’s super quick to load.

Positive: I love the fact that it’s super simple and easy to use! The whole platform itself is so easy to use. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Negative: Honestly there’s nothing I have disliked about the app!

Summary: I'm happy with EmailOctopus and will continue using it to send my multiple newsletters. If you want a more affordable & simple email newsletter service, it's a good option for you.

Positive: It's easy to set up and much faster to use than some of the alternatives I have tried.

It's also much more affordable than alternatives.

Negative: Not much really. There are some advanced features I would have liked to see (mostly around the API), but I knew before signing up that those features didn't exist, and on balance it was better to go with EmailOctopus than some of the alternatives that had a better API, but had other, more vital issues.

Summary: EmailOctopus offers an amazing number of subscribers in its free trial and is fairly easy to use. I also really like that the generous free trial turns into very reasonably priced plans once you grow enough to need to pay. I wish I'd known about EmailOctopus sooner! I would have started with them instead of needing to move.

Positive: Very generous free trial. One of the only services that will give you 2500 users while still free. As an author, I need that because a lot of sign ups for free reader magnets are people who never open another email. Easier to use than Mailchimp or ConvertKit.

Negative: Not quite as easy to use as MailerLite, but not bad. The emails look a little less polished.

Summary: Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I needed to find a cheaper option thank Mailchimp and this has worked great. I appreciate being able to see who actually opens up the emails in real-time and was able to customize my email to my liking with great ease. It is a very user friendly

Positive: This is a great, less expensive alternative to Mailchimp. So far, it has all of the functionality as Mailchimp, but without all the frills. If you know what you are doing, it's a great option. I really like analytics so far.

Negative: There aren't many cons that I've experienced to be honest.

Summary: Very good product!

Negative: - There's nothing I don't like! Perhaps more integration with LinkedIn.

Summary: Positive, good user experience and quite intuitive - plus useful reports. A few more templates would be handy.

Positive: User friendly and easy to use, took me almost no time to set up my first template and send a campaign out.

Negative: More templates would be useful, for different types of campaigns.

Summary: Really happy with the product. Have used it for a few years and don't intend on stopping any time soon.

Positive: Nice clean and simple UI.

Can send newsletters to filtered lists.

Negative: Can't think of anything; it has worked well so far.

Summary: Great app! Deliver emails cheaply and constantly. I changed from Mailchimp to EmailOctopus and haven't looked back.

Positive: EmailOctopus saves u money while delivering emails in a consistent and reliable way. Great solution.

Negative: No search through various lists, which makes it tedious to find an email address.

Summary: 100% recommend to new users, as well as users looking to migrate who have lists approaching the 1000 free subs offered by other services!

Positive: - 2500 free subscribers, which is great for building your list
- included campaign landing page, so you don't even need a website to starting building your list.
- lots of stats and insights into your campaigns!

Negative: - Not a big player yet, so very little integration into WordPress form services.

Summary: I volunteer for a small non-profit youth baseball league and our new registration system did not have support for creating newsletters or emails with flyers. The free plan is perfect for now, as we don't send too many campaigns. The editing features are easy and non-technical people can create some really nice looking emails. Love being able to duplicate a campaign, modify and just send it. We have not tried or figured out how to integrate this into our own website yet, so we manually export new email registrants from our system and import them into EmailOctopus, but it is not too difficult or time-consuming. The future scheduling feature is great too so volunteers can create the email when they have time but it will still send at the appropriate time. EmailOctopus is prefect for us.

Positive: Easy to use templates and nice Content Editing capabilities.
Good Pricing plan.
Easy List management to add users and takes care of unsubscribes.

Negative: We have not experienced any issues or cons with this product.

Summary: I honestly tried to come up with more "cons" to list, but overall I'm really pleased with Email Octopus. I use it for a small nonprofit with a new, but growing, newsletter, and it suits our needs perfectly. We don't use it for list segmentation or email courses, etc, as of now, so I can't speak to those features. For a regular newsletter that looks nice and is easy to set up, Email Octopus is my automatic go-to.

Positive: -professional templates and presentation
-constantly updated features
-human responses and support from the company
-they give back to environmental causes! (important bonus to us as a nonprofit)

Negative: -they do recommend you use an email address that you/your organization owns, rather than a free email (but this seems to be true for any newsletter system)

Summary: I had to use MailChimp for my desk job last year and hated every moment of it. I always got lost, I wasn't able to edit email elements in the ways I wanted to, and editing text and images was clunky, slow, and frustrating. As an author I'm sending monthly newsletters to my readers and I can't afford to be ticked off every time I need to adjust some text.

I'm sure my review sounds a bit biased / sponsored, but honestly EmailOctopus does everything MailChimp says it does, but better. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about it, and can't recommend it highly enough!!!

Positive: Incredibly intuitive UI, simple yet aesthetic design, easy website navigation, and great customer service! Navigating through the different screens and finding information or analytics is easy, I didn't get lost even when I was brand new to the software--and the interactions I've had with the email customer service have been pleasant and even overly generous!! Also I love how charming & aesthetic my campaign emails (and signup landing page!) look compared to the stiff & rigid designs I experienced with MailChimp.

Negative: I really don't have any major cons. I did run into a small bug where moving off the "email preview" and to the "email editor" wouldn't actually bring me to the editor, I had to refresh the page, but the service team fixed that right away after I mentioned it and it wasn't even a major hassle to begin with.

Summary: Excellent. I recommended Mailchimp for years but now, without a second of hesitation I recommend EmailOctopus every time.

Positive: The UI is excellent and very responsive. It's easy to get around and not bloated like some other similar products.

As a developer the main thing for me was the ease of integration. My app had a pretty tight integration with MailChimp; quite a lot of automation going on. However the Email Octopus API is SUPER good and I managed to replicate my entire app integration in an evening.

The API and the accompanying documentation are so good that it reminded me of working with Stripe for the first time; everything so easy.

Negative: Not just saying this, but pretty much nothing. There's a minor annoyance in that you can't view segments - so let me be clear you can create segments and use segments but you can't see a list of who is in a particular segment.

However I spoke to support about this (who are great) and they assured me it's on the roadmap.

Summary: Great, reliable, easy to use product. I love watching those analytics once an email is sent! And also I love how it allows you to have simple or fancy campaigns, design choice is important.

Positive: Easy to use, lots of flexibility. Was able to import email lists and make campaigns without assistance. Love the analytics!

Negative: I have no complaints with Email Octopus, it allows me to do everything I need to do regarding email marketing and newsletters to my clients.

Summary: Overall, I'm happy with Email Octopus and and I highly recommend them. Yes, there are other providers out there that offer more, but I have a mailing list of 7000 who I email twice a month. I wouldn't be able to afford those other providers. EO is the cheapest option around, yet their templates, interface, landing pages, automatic emails, analytics ... everything they offer is all I need. And they're constantly improving and offering more. Especially when taking cost into account, EO is a better option than those other providers.

Positive: - Affordable
- Easy to use
- Their customer service is excellent
- Has everything I need for a newsletter
- Uses AMS services - a dependable, powerful system

Negative: - Tricky to set up through AMS services... but doable.
- Not all the services I use accept EO API (but more are adding it all the time).
- When I add links to websites it sometimes takes a few tries--it can be glitchy.
-Can't filter/sort subscribers online... must export.
