Crashed At First Use; Made Long PDF Unrecoverable

    Edited: Aug 16 2022

Summary: I did not have the original Word file of the PDF. Long story short, the PAID app crashed on first use and the crashed document could not be recovered. I tried several other apps, both free and paid, as well as several other laptops (PC and Mac - I work in an IT department) and I could not recover the original PDF. I was glad I had a backup. I then downloaded the trial version of Foxit Pro PDF Editor and was able to use that to make my edits. Sent PDF to client; Adobe couldn't read that document. Just bite the bullet and buy Adobe (no, I don't work for them and long-ago abandoned their SaaS model in favor of other apps). But for PDFs, Adobe is still the best.

P.S. EaseUS customer support gave me the runaround about a refund. Sure, it's only 80 dollars but still, I earned it - they didn't!

Positive: The price, but then remember - you get what you pay for. For all the aggravation, I should have just plunked down the cash for Adobe's product.

Negative: Where do I begin? The interface is 1998. Even adjusting my monitor resolution on my laptop doesn't allow the buttons to be large enough to read - they are mashed into each other, but readable (barely). On first use, the application crashed when I was trying to make minor edits to a 128 page PDF (add a URL here, edit some grammar there).
