Dr.Web Description
Dr.Web employs a range of technologies to shield computers from malicious software, such as:
A signature-based scanner that recognizes known malware through its unique code,
A heuristics engine that identifies unknown malware by analyzing its behavior,
A firewall designed to fend off network attacks,
A spam filter that prevents unwanted emails from reaching the inbox,
Parental controls that limit children's internet access,
And a file shredder that ensures complete removal of files.
Dr.Web is well-regarded for its effectiveness in detecting and eliminating malware, having received several accolades from independent testing bodies, including the prestigious VB100% certification from Virus Bulletin. Nonetheless, it has faced some criticism due to its significant consumption of system resources and a somewhat cumbersome user interface.
In summary, Dr.Web stands out as a dependable and efficient antivirus solution, making it a suitable option for users seeking robust protection against malware. However, potential users should be aware that the software may be demanding on system performance and that its interface may require some getting used to. Additionally, those interested in comprehensive security features might find Dr.Web's offerings particularly advantageous.

Summary: My rating when comparing its free and paid version compare to Avast and others.
-Free version 8.5/10
-Paid version 9/10.
The app does what it says and there's no annoying ads. It's an excellent app to try out and thank Dr.Web.Positive: 1. Has free version and paid (Cheaper than others)
2. The app works well, transparent in data collection unlike other utilities.
3. Own by Russian, you're sure of real-time protection unlike spying western apps.
4. File system protection: Scans files, applications, and removable media for threats
5. Anti-virus: Protects against viruses, Trojans, worms, rootkits, and spyware
6. Anti-phishing: Blocks attempts to monitor user activity and display ads
7. Parental control: Controls access to devices, files, and the internet for different users
8. Firewall: Protects against network threats
9. Exploit prevention: Prevents attempts to exploit vulnerabilities
10. Ransomware protection: Unlocks devices compromised by ransomware
Final take: I've try big names like Avast, Kaspersky and others but Dr web stands out. Avast claim free version but after scanning when you try to neutralise the threats, you're asking to pay or upgrade which is so annoying. Kaspersky only works in windows.
Dr.web my first attempt of scanning detected hidden virus that has been popping up ads, and white screen notification. It neutralise it and my device is totally safe now. Thanks for their modern technology.Negative: 1. It's not popular like avast

3. Some of the notable features are locked which is common but with a cheaper price to unlock
4. No switch to turn off unless you clear apps in floating screen.
